Mary is a pirate who is on a ship with her father Captain Smith. Carey is a Princess who just happens to be her sister. Carey lives with her mother in a castle off the coast in England. The two girls were seperated at birth when their mother and father split. Mary has never liked being a pirate. She has said some things to her father about it, but he never really listened. She is sick of being treated like that and is now making it very clear that she no longer wants to be there.

"Dad, I don't want to be here and you know it!! Why won't you do anything about it?" Mary yells to her Dad. "What can I do about it?" her Dad screams back. "I don't know. Quit being a pirate. Live a normal life. Let me be a teenager." She says. "Sweety, anywhere you go," he pauses, "anywhere you go your not going to be a normal teenager. No matter where you are, you're not going to live your life like any other girl. You're different. You're just different." "Huh," Mary says stunned. "What are you talking about? What do you mean? I know I'm a pirate, but if i go and live in a neighborhood or something, then i could be normal. Mom probably lives in a neighborhood. I could go live with her and Carey. They're probably really normal." "Look Mary. There's something i haven't told you about Mom and Carey." He pauses and scrambles for words to explain everything. "They don't live in a neighborhood, they live in a castle. Mom isn't just a Mom who goes to work everyday and then comes home. She happens to be the Queen of England and you and your sister happen to be Princess's." Captain Smith explains the story to his daughter of how the girls were seperated. Mary is stunned at what her father is saying and can't believe any of it. She goes to her room and thinks about everything her father said. She sits on her bed and falls asleep. When she wakes up, it's about 3 in the morning.

"What are you still doing up?" Mary asks her Dad as she walks out on the deck. She sits down beside him. Her dad responds. "I was thinking about everything you told me tonight. Of how you hate being a pirate." " Dad i don't hate it. I was just mad." Mary explains. "Well, do you really want to get off the boat. I know you don't hate it, but I also know you don't love it. Do you want to get off?" asks her dad. " Yea dad i really do." she responds. "Alright then you go to bed and everything will be taken care of. Goodnight. i love you." her dad says as he walks away. Mary goes back to her room and sleepily gets in bed. "Everythings going to be alright" she tells her self as she falls asleep. "Everything is going to be alright."

"Hurry up and get ready Mary we don't have much time!!" Her dad yells the next morning. "What are you talking about?" mary asks her father. "You said you didn't want to be on the boat so once your dressed you'll be on your way home." Captain Smith tells his daughter. "Wait!" mary says. " You mean I'm home? I'm going to be with mom and Carey?" "You got it lamb chop but ya better hurry or your gunna have to swim to shore and I don't think that would make a great impression on your mother." her dad replies. Mary runs around the boat getting ready to leave. She puts on her nicest looking clothes and gets all the tangles out of her hair. She finally comes out to the front of the ship. "So, how do I look?" she asks her dad. "Well, you always look gorgeous to me, but i think you'll look gorgeous to your mom to. Now, when you get off the boat there's going to be a man waiting for you. He's gunna take you to your new house." He tells her. "Wait," Mary pauses. "You're not going with me?" " Sweety you know I love you, but I don't need to see your mom again." There's a silence. " You better be going." Captain smith hugs her. "Have fun" He walks her down the stairs, hugs her again, and goes back up. Mary turns around and looks at a giant castle on a hill.

"Yup." a voice says. "That's where we're going" "Who are you?" Mary asks. "Oh my appologies miss. Forgot to introduce myself. I'm an old friend of your fathers. The names Joe Young." replies the man. "I'm Mary Smith." she says quietly. "I guess we better get started on our walk to your house." Joe says cheerfully. The walk up the hill was a long walk. Not much was said between the two of them. After about 45 minuets of walking they finally reached the castle on the hill. "This is where I have to leave you miss. Good luck with your sister and mother" Joe turns around and starts walking down the hill. Mary walks to the door. "Here goes nothing" she says as she rings the doorbell.

A beautiful blonde woman opens the door. "Are you the new maid?" the woman asks? "Mom?" Mary says. "Who are you?" asks the woman. "And why do you look like my daughter Carey? Are you one of those impersonators? Whatever you are I'm not interested." " Mom, it's me Mary. How do you not recognize me?" Mary asks in disbelief. "Mary?" the woman asks stunned? "Oh! What are you doing here? I thought you were with your father? Why did you come back?" "Because i wanted to come home." Mary responded. "Well, don't worry. You're home now."

"This is our closet." Carey announced as she gave the grand tour of her room. "Since we're sisters we'll share most of our clothes. Here out this one on." Carey says as she hands Mary a dress. Mary puts it on and walks in front of the mirror. "It's perfect" she says. The dress was white with blue lace on it. "It's like a doll from The Doll Palace. I mean I feel perfect. I feel like a doll from The Doll Palace. I love it!" Mary says. "Get used to it. Here your going to feel like a Doll Palace doll all the time" Carey says. "I think I could get used to it" Mary exclaims. "GIRLS!!! Hurry up and get dressed for dinner!!" their mom yells. Mary and Carey finish getting ready and come downstairs.

"Ladies and gentlemen" their mom anounces to everyone. "This is my other daughter Princess Mary." Everyone begins to clap. Mary looks around and smiles. "I could definatley get used to this." she says to herself. "This is going to be great." "You've gone from dirty to worthy Mary." Carey leans over and whispers. "You are now a Doll Palace doll." "I'm a doll palace doll now." mary thinks to herself. "I'm a doll palace doll."
