in a quiet boredom:
in the most aphotic places,
aroused from curiosity,
we stray to quiet spaces.
at a pace we dance,
into the garden mazes,
even though were hesitant,
we travel deep into those phases.
it's cold and cheerless there,
but we don't know how to leave.
what grace has given us?
what hides up heaven's sleeve?

Sometimes, I have dreams dreams where I'm scared to look up and around. The world around me sparks curiosity but it's dark, and I'm alone, afraid. I don't know why there is such a place in the pit of our dreams but it's kind of like a dark nostalgia. |
