It was Valentine's Day. I was so happy that day, I'd been waiting for that day all year long. I couldn't wait for it to be 8 0. My boyfriend said he had a really big surprise for me. Too bad it couldn't have been what I was waiting all year for. Yea it was true that he was a jerk and never treated me right, but I had to stay with him because he said he loved me. I know it seems wrong but I really thought he meant it. Well as that night came closer to our date time, I started getting ready. I went all out I bought a new dress, new heels, got my haur done the whole nine yards. Well he picked me up that night and he took me to a big Valentine's Day party. I wanted to be alone with him but of course I didn't say anything to him. It was about 9 0 when he said he was going to give me my big surprise. I was so happy, but Iwas such a fool. He took me to the back of the house and told me that it was over. At first I didn't believe him but he kept telling me how he was dared to go out with me and how he was to dump me on Valentine's Day. I still really didn't believe him and I told him that if this was true why did he tell me he loved me. He said that he never meant it, he just siad that to get me to stay with him until this day. I couldn't take it I broke down crying. All of his friends started laughing and making fun of me. To this day I still don't know why they hated me that much. I ran out of the house as fast as I could. Then I bumped into somebody and fell to the ground. He helped me up and I thought he was going to start making fun of me like everyone else. But he told me that he had a surprise for me. So I followed him out of the house and into the driveway where his car was. He pulled out a giant teddy bear and handed it to me. He told me that he's always had a huge crush on me. I knew who he was. We used to be really good friends, until I started going out with John. He didn't want me going out with him because he knew John didn't care about me. We talked that whole night. And that night on Valentine's Day I think I fell in love. True love. We got together that night, me and Ricky and we're still together to this very day. Now at first I thought my Valentine's Day was ruined but then I found out what true love is about.  |
