| "Its the sixth time" I complained. Being 8 and an orphan is not fun. Sure I'm cute and little, but i have the biggest sass drive. They all say I nag, I'm stuck up and always think I'm right, I'm mean and that I'll never get adopted. But I know I will, I just need to find that perfect family who will love me just the way I am, instead who the orpahnage wants me to be during our interveiws. But its been six trys and six dissapointments. Iwatched as all my friends and best friend got adopted, leving me with strangers i barley knew. The other girls don't talk to me and i don't talk to them. Then THE morning that changed my life came. I watched a couple come in with Ms. Olana, my teacher. they look at all of us girls and point to...me! "I was about to get an interveiw and possibly become adopted!" Immediatly I walk up and say " Hi i'm Evelyn, but call me Eve. I must warn you that during our interveiw, I will be myself and not pretend tp be who I am." Then the lady looks at the man he smiles and nods, while the lady says " She's perfect. She's not afraid to be wo she is and I honestl dmire that." And poof just like that I'm adopted. Never give up, even if others try to hold you down. Bye! |
