I was stunned, they had given me hair extensions, dyed my hair black, and I must have had five pounds of makeup on my face. My pale skin was now a creamy smooth color.
"How-"I said rubbing my arm.
"Mystic tan." A cheerleader said with a satisfied smile. Ilooked at the clothes I was wearing.
"Where-"
"Bought them." Said the same cheerleader. I looked up again and this time I smiled.
"I like it..."
"So you'll keep it?" I nodded and they all squealed.
"On one condition.." They fell silent expecting the worst to come.
"You help me pick out a new wardrobe.." They all squealed again. I didn't know what had come over me. But I was likin this new look. The next week at school all the kids talked to me. Every week a popular list was posted on the bulletain board. And this week I was interested. All the cheerleaders mouth's dropped when they saw who was number one... I checked.
"Maya Sanchez.." I mumbled.."That's me!Im number one! Im Maya Sanchez!" The cheer leaders walked away disgusted. To them this was clearly The Goth Problem:Gone Wrong... |
