Superstition.
So if you take a piece of cheese,
And if you take a dog,
If you give the dog the cheese,
He will very loudly sneeze.
But if you take a piece of dog,
And you take a cheese,
If you give the cheese the dog,
Surely it will sing a song.
Though if you snip a snap of peas,
And stick them up inside of cheese,
If you give the peas some fleas,
If you then lick a dog,
You will always be lucky.
Also if you take the dog,
And chop him up and cook him well,
Until he resembles an ancient log,
He will make a very fine bell.
For the love of rainbows bright,
Don't forget to pray at night,
That the morrow may bring cheese,
Cheese and dogs and peas and fleas.
So you can be lucky evermore.
