I'm Marrissa, and I'm 15 years old. My dream since I was 5 was becoming a singing super star. When I was 12 years old, I got involved in a choir class. I always got the big solo's and I was usually the best singer out of my group, which was suprano2. Well, that's what my music teacer told me. Every year I won an award for the best vocal. When I turned 14 years old I decided to enter a talent show at my local fair. I sang the Celine Dion song called "My Heart Will Go On." I won $50 dollars and the crowd loved the song I sang. Even teh announcer complimented on my voice and said I was naturally talented.
When I turned 16 years old, I sang at my school in a musical and I had the lead part. My teacher Miss Grayes secretly signed an aplication for me to audition in this movie called High School Musical, and for one of the singer agents to come to the musical to hear me.After the play, and the cast all took a bow, one of the agents which was a girl named Ina came on stage and took a microphone and said in her soft toned voice,
" I would like to congratulate Miss Marrissa Jones, because she has made it to be in the audition for our new premiering movie High School Musical 3!"
When she said that, I was totally shocked. First I thought she was kidding, but then my teacher came out and told me she had signed me up for an aplication. Then, I knew what was happening was real. A week later, my mom and I went to L.A. and stood in the long line for the auditions. Finally, it was my turn to enter the big blue tent and sing in front of one of the singing agents. Oh my word, you won't believe how scared and nervous I was. When I sang part of a song I picked, I thought my voice was going to screech at first. But it didn't. Anyway, after I finished I was moved to the next round. I was so happy. After I went through the next processes, I made it to the finals and won! After I made the movie, tons of directors asked me too be in other movies wiht a singing role. Thanks to my drama teacher, I made it into being a singing superstar! |
