wheee!~ I begin another series that shall never be completed.

How do you start a story? Once upon a time sounds so childish and just throwing the words out there makes no sense. I could begin with a useless autobiography but my life is so normal there's really nothing to say. Maybe I should just say something - anything - and the rest will fall in place, but that's not very likely.
This whole situation is so random I don't think it makes sense to anyone. Not even me, the stupid protagonist. Of course, everyone is stupid when they're sixteen. It's part of what makes the adventure so 'sweet'. Being a pain in the ass and getting away with it.
You know, I never really understood society's scre'wed up agenda. Why would anyone in their right mind consider it acceptable to put hundreds of zit-infested, sex-obsessed teenagers in a confined area for forty hours each week and expect them to play nicely?
In all reality, high school is over-rated. There's almost no good in it. It either makes you or breaks you. In my case, it broke me.
It's a thing you can never get over, expecting failure at every turn. Parents who only want what's best for you even though they don't know the real you. Friends that know you better than you know yourself are only around to take advantage of you, or in my case, fall in love with all your faults. The bullies that get off on the tears you cry. The teachers who ignore the tears you don't cry. The cruel and unusual punishment called life.
Maybe that's where I should begin. The day I realized I was living, when I became conscious of my breathing. I think that was the day I truly opened my eyes and saw what the world was: a tragedy about to happen.
Of course, I didn't make that discovery on my own. No. I'm not that intelligent. I guess I can blame all of this on Oliver Duffy. He's been my best friend for five years. He's the one that convinced me to go to Epidemic, the only underage club in the tri-state area. The fact that my parents agreed to it makes the partially responsible.
You see, if I had not gone to Epidemic with Oliver and his older brother, I wouldn't have meet the Taylor brothers. I wouldn't have been kidnapped. And, though I regret saying this, I wouldn't have need to be saved by him. The conceited, self-righteous son-of-a-biitch who thinks I exist to help recreate his tribe of conceited, self-righteous priicks that pride themselves on killing the undead.
So, as you can see, this story is about to take the turn towards the worst. |
