See the Puppeteer

Lead his children

In a merry dance

Bound by strings

To his every whim

They do not protest

To the passivity of their life

*

Accept what you're given

Don't make a fuss now

Pulling at your strings

Will only cause you pain

Abandon yourself

To a life of obedience

Let your thoughts and fears

All melt away

Do not think, just obey

*

It must be exhilarating

To play at being god

To look down from above

On world that you control

A welcome change perhaps

From your own life

As someone else's

Marionette

*

Is this manipulation all

Merely a game within a game?

And when you find the stings

Binding your own wrists

Will you know what to do next?

How do you extricate yourself

From someone else's dreams?

*

Pure brilliance, as always. Make a book of poems.

You could some day be the modern Robert Frost, but female and we won't have to read one of your poems everday f every year for the rest of our lives (ahem, road less traveled, ahem)!!!!!!
