"Now presenting my daughter, Princess Alexandra of the Lands of Oswald" said my mother with a tear in her eye. I walk out to the balcony, forcing a smile. I was informed this morning that I needed a speech. Well, it was more like a reminder that I never knew about.
"Alexis, do you have your speech ready?" said Marie, my maid, who I think is more like an aunt to me. I love her and she is always smiling when she sees me.
"A speech?" I began, confused by what she had told me. "I wasn't aware that I needed a speech."
"Oh dear," Marie said as she set down a pile of towels. "Your tutor hasn't spoken to you about this, has he?"
"No, he hasn't, but I shall get one ready. I will be the new queen as of tommorow. I will show my responsiblity." I say. I have thought of a few points to add in my speech, and i think of them as I begin to speak.
