| "Alright who are you going to the prom with?" My best frien Natalie said. I shrugged. "Nobody asked you yet?!!!" She said gasping. I giggled. "Not yet. But soon!!!" I said crossing my fingers. "I'm going with Brad!" She said. Brad was a cute boy but not my type. Brad was Natalies top boyfriend. He had cute brown hair and ocean blue eyes. Just then Chris the 3rd hottest guy came up to me and tapped my shoulder. I turned around and smiled. "Hey Chris", I said. "I'll call you later", she said smiling. "Is anyone going to the prom with you?" He asked. I shoolk my head and blushed. "Well I was kind of thinking.Would you like to go with...me?" His brown eyes sparkled and cute freckles shined like bright stars. I thought I died and was in heaven. I nodded. I tried to say yes but all that came out was a sqeal. I was so excited. "Well I'll see you on Friday." He said walking away with a smile. I hugged my books and practically floated outside. I ws so happy. Finally Jason caught up with me. He was an old friend and was kind of cute. He was another best friend who I knew since kindergarden. "Hi", he said. He looked embarissed. "Hi", I said. "I was wondering if maybe you would like ot go to the prom!" He said cheerfully. Suddenly I felt a lump in my throat. I wasn't floating anymore. I didn't want to hurt Jason's feelings. Then I spotted Natalie flirting with Brad. I gave her a I-need-your-help look. She said Bye to Jason and rushed over to me. "Jason", she said. She understood what was going on. "Cassie like you alot but umm... your kind of late." She said. She always new whatto say. He looked at the ground and swallowed hard. I hated to see him like this. "Well I gotta get going", he said. As he turned around I noticed a tear in his eye. I felt so bad. |
