The park was a stunning place. The horizon was thick and filled with big, bold trees at their greenest in full bloom. A gentle breeze fondled their leaves, and Timmy observed there changing outline as the movement took its course. There were flowers bordering the outskirts of the fences protecting the perimeters that excluded the ugliness and plainness of the outside world. And also, there was blossom at his feet.

It was pink blossom.

Overall, he would have called it like a little garden of paradise. But only because he was going to see Pam. And here she was now, entering the park gate.

Pam had been running all the way from home. Now she was a little out of breath. Since Friday she had tried her best to appear to her mother like she was not planning on leaving the apartment on this day. She felt a little sick, a little scared. But for Timmy she would put all that behind her. Her mother didn’t yet know she was gone; she had just slipped out of the door like a sly cat. She imagined the woman calling her name, calling into the emptiness of the hall way.

But there was Timmy. Pam hoped she looked nice, for it was a special occasion to her. She wore a pale pink top and matching eye shadow. It was a huge relief to see him, so much so, that she gathered the energy to call to him.

“Timmy!” she cried as she approached him with a smile spreading across her face. A real smile. She was genuinely happy to see him.

“‘Ey, Pam.” Timmy sat back and smiled in return. He shuffled over to make room for Pam. “Lookin’ good.”

Pam sat down next to Timmy, perhaps about half a foot away from him. Her eyes became a little dilated. It suddenly occurred to her that Timmy might think that this meeting was some sort of date…

“You too.” She said to him, as enthusiastically as she could while she tried to clear her mind.

Timmy looked down. Awww… Pam was so sweet.

“Cheers.” And he was silent for a moment. He wiped his hand along the bench again and felt the same sting as he usually did. Living the way that he did wasn’t easy, and his hands had matured early. They weren’t old looking, no. But yes, indeed they were rough. Then he went into his pocket in his shirt and felt around in there. He withdrew nothing.

Pam’s thighs felt stiff. She sat in a tense position. She didn’t really know what to say to Timmy after that. She started staring into the trees. They were beautiful; this place was truly an oasis. She began to relax slightly, that’s not to say she was relaxed. She still felt tense.

“Its pretty ain’ it, this park.” He said. “Blossom an’ all, an’ ya dun see it tha’ much round ‘ere.”

“Yeah…” she replied. Turning her head to look at him, she nodded. She was pretty stumped for words. Timmy was a good sight, a really good sight. And she then decided that she didn’t really mind whatever he thought this meeting was. She sat back on her seat. Timmy was a nice boy, he really was, and what she thought was nice. There was something she wanted him to know, but it was hard to think of how to put it.

“I…I…I umm, think you’re…really nice?” She said it like a question, not a statement. That was because she was really unsure of what she was saying and why. All of a sudden she felt as though she might have made a mistake. The blood began to rush to her head, turning her skin a little red.

Timmy was digging in his pocket again, and this time he pulled out the needle, sliding it between his fingers timidly. He parted his lips, then closed them again, then parted them. “O… yeah… um…” He croaked. “That’s K… ya know” He then stopped for a moment, before performing a usual chuckle. “Ya dun ‘ave ta say stuff ya dun wanna.” But really he was pleased that she’d said it. Even if she didn’t mean it, she wanted to make him happy.

Pam felt a bit of indignation. The blood was still pacing through her pulsing neck. Her chest was heaving and her wrists and hands felt numb. Perhaps there were many feelings mixed into one right at this moment, or they were all connected, because in all honesty, Pam didn’t really know what she was feeling. Was it anger? Was it pity? The last thing she had said, she meant to say it. But how could she speak now? She doubted she could form any sensible sentences at this moment. She looked at Timmy again. Her blood paced even faster, shooting through her veins like a herd of frightened animals. She pursed her lips, trying to hold the turmoil that was bubbling up inside her from erupting and spilling out in front of Timmy.

Did she love Timmy?

If she did it had crept up on her at this very moment. Perhaps the feeling had been waiting for her to realise it had been there all along. And it had been. From the moment she set eyes on Timmy had loved him. It was just a shame she had been too wrapped up in herself and her work and everything else to realise. Timmy…

She was so sorry. She wanted to make up for it now. She could and she would. She turned to face Timmy quickly, and she was determined. She hadn’t ever been any more determined in her life, not even towards her work. She clawed her hand and thrust it out in desperation, grabbing onto his arm. Her eyes fixed on him, as firmly fixed as a statue would be to the ground. She took a sharp breath.

“Kiss me Timmy.” Her words were definite and full of meaning. She didn’t care what his response would be; she just wanted him to know that she loved him.

Timmy was somewhat startled. He turned his head and gazed into her eyes. They were pasted onto him, and drawing him in. And her action was so fast that he almost missed her words, so he remembered them:

“Kiss me Timmy.”

And he repeated them in his head. He felt possessed, and his skin gently oozing with a light perspiration, he leant in her direction and made their mouths meet. Words were too meaningless to express what he was feeling right now. It was something of stillness was all he could think of, but it was probably shock. He stretched his arm over, taking her hand that rested on his opposite arm in his, and he held it with care. Handling something with care wasn’t behaviour typical of Timmy, but he knew he wished to treat Pam well. Then his tongue began to slightly obtrude, and he was asking for a further invite. If she didn’t permit him to then he wouldn’t be offended, but either way he would appreciate her consent.

Pam’s eyes had closed gently when the kiss began, and she found it amazing. Even just this gentle kiss was beautiful to her. It was as gentle as the blossom that fell from the trees surrounding them. Pam wanted to complete her perfect picture. She left one hand in Timmy’s, lifting the other hand, the fingers on which were trembling like leaves. She rested it on his face. Just her finger tips, just her finger tips to tempt him. She felt his soft wet tongue in her mouth, so she pressed herself on him further, trying to smother his mouth passionately with her smooth plump lips, which had become rosy and swollen, due to her arousal. Her tongue touched his, the two surfaces slipping together warmly. Her sensual touch left Timmy’s nerves tingling, and eventually, when the kiss was over, he withdrew from her.

He’d had a kiss before, yes he had, but not a kiss like that of Pam’s.
