I doubt it makes sense. I am hardly in the most coherant mood.
----
I have lost myself, somewhere, somehow.
And I have no idea what to do now.
There is no reflection in the mirror I fear,
No whisper of a smile, or guilty slide of a tear.

I am no more, a mere shadow of a fiend.
I’m a lifeless waif, drifting through in need
Of something I myself cannot identify.
I just know I have the urge to disappear, to fly.

I long for the freedom of nothingness, to live by the sea.
I want to escape it all: the pressure, the numbness. I want to be free
From me, from the bleak nothingness that is my mindset,
I want to disappear from this, and let you all forget.

Perhaps I am being selfish, but perhaps that is what I am.
But despite this knowledge the door to my life I wish to slam.
What a deary, dull existence I lead. Perhaps I am only feeding my own ego,
Perhaps I am only attention seeking, damning my soul to the wretched slow.

Ignore my lull, dear friends; let me worry myself to sleep without a care.
Only I can make ends meet, tie loose strings. Only I can decide how this fares.
Alas, ignore my mutterings, lest you be taken in by my verse.
To be at one with me is a most terrible curse. |
