I do not understand how I do it, watch you with another and keep my tongue in check. The smile is hard to obtain when that deceitful little wench wraps herself around you with that dark little smirk. It ridiculous I know, to be jealous of a woman I know you hold in such contempt, but one cannot stave off the emotion when I see the two of you together.
She deserves not to be wound around you in such a manner. We both know what you are like, I have come to expect some sort of trouble from you, because you were trouble from the very start, but she, she is the devils’ mistress. She deserves more of the obvious scorn you shower her with, and nothing less. She deserves every little snide remark you dish her, every comment you let her stew on. It hurts my ego to realise how much I wish evil upon her delicate form.
How glad I am that her womanly witchery affects you no more, but I can’t help but worry, somewhere in the back of my mind, that perhaps I am not enough to keep you from the path of unfaithfulness. You always were a rather lusty creature. I should know. Any chance you get to touch me and you grip it with fervour and refuse to let go until said lusty cravings have been quenched.
And I hate that you share such intimate moments with her and I hope beyond believe you do not share the same words. It should be just ours, just mine and yours, but you can never be fully mine. You never could have been, but I liked the illusion, had clung to it for the longest of times before reality had slammed into my life and wrenched it from me. And now I sit back and watch from my lowly status, serving her as I serve you, jade jealousy shimmering in such a manner I swear you must have seen it too.
How could you not? My spot in Hell has been secured, I fear.
I fancy my eyes have turned emerald and my tongue olive. Even the breath I breathe escapes my body in a glittering shade of green. I want nothing more then to be rid of that damnable creature that has claimed her place in your bed and have you to myself. But, alas, I can not. I can not expose such a shameful, selfish trait to your eyes. My pride shall not allow such a slip in my gentlemanly persona.
So I stay silent, and wish dark desires in the depths of my dreams, obscuring the damage that has been dealt unto me by her precise, razor claws from your eyes. This is something I wish not for you to behold. You are the impulsive one from our pair; you are the childish, demanding one whom stipulates everything to be bent to his will. I have no desire to take that role from you, for you play it so very well. My spoiled one you shall remain and I shall remain the one to placate you, to spoil you further and condemn myself to fall in love with you more. You shall not bear witness to my own childish whims.
But they are there, lingering within the depths of my soul, tainting the fabric of my being. I loathe observing as you play nice with her, as I force pleasantries with the woman who has defined herself as my personal Hell, determined to rub her attachment to you in my face.
As I have stated before, expressing envy for such a creature is foolish, but when she flaunts what I cannot have in front of my eyes, I find it hard to articulate any other emotion. You are mine and only mine. I shall not allow you to anyone other than myself, and although I voice this not, this is what I feel and with subtle comments that can be inferred either way, I pass this knowledge onto the witch.
I shall not let you go without a fight, especially not to that gold-thirsty, she-devil who occupies your bed and shares your warmth of a night time. I refuse to let her latch her claws any deeper into you soft skin. You are mine alone and mine you will stay until you state otherwise. And that is a day I hope never to dawn. |
