NOT PRETTY ENOUGH
As I walked into the doors of High school all of a sudden I tripped over my shoe lace and fell flat on my face and I can tell everyone was laughing at me. I got up and ran to my locker putting my head in my locker trying to block all the laughter.
The turnaround dance was this Friday and the girls ask the guys! When I saw the sign I felt like someone was tearing out my guts! But the rule is the girls can't ask the guys until Friday!
I walked home thinking who I should ask! Then I realized that I'm a geek and I never had a boyfriend! Nobody would ever be my date! My conscience is saying I should ask the guy I have a crush on but my head is saying not to ask anybody!
Tyler is the quarterback of the football team and is very, very, very cute, and popular! The next morning I walked to school wearing a deep purplish color with black I pulled my front hair back and put some makeup on. I never came to school looking like this!! Since it was Friday I was very excited because I had a feeling that Tyler is going to say "yes"!
I walked to my locker then I saw Tyler! I smiled but he didn't smile back. He probably didn't see my I thought. After school everyone headed to the gym where the dance is at. Slow music were playing and I could see asking people to be their date! I saw Shantee walking towards Tyler! So I ran over to him.
Hi! Tyler! I said.
Hi, Brianna. He said not even looking at me.
I was just wondering uh... If you would be my date for the turnaround dance? I asked releasingly.
Um no, because your a geek and your just not pretty enough and your a nerd and what's up with your dress? He laughed.
Without saying anything I ran out of the double doors to the gym and walked home and I felt a tear steaming down my cheeks!
I realized that Tyler isn't the right guy, he's just a jerk! Someday I'll find a guy who likes me for who I am. And I like my dress, It was my great Aunt Pearl's. So it's very special to me, if he has a problem he can STICK IT!
