First grade, i can't believe it
thats when i met you
best friends with no concern
not a care in the world
other people and their thoughts
not once was a bother
we stood our ground
and had each other's back
second grade, you played the violen
so beautifully you did indeed
i told Mrs. Quintero
and God became your listener
five years went by
seventh grade, could it be?
our harmony slipped
but only just a little
and so eight grade came
our final year together
you going to public
and i to private
there were so many things
i wanted to tell you
but im so sorry
i just didn't know how
i wish i could have been there
be a better friend
i failed so miserably
and it follows me til this day
maybe it was ment to be
but never will i let
such an amazing friendship pass
in the end it all could suck ducks
but im trying so hard,
though it may not seem,
to keep the fire burning
and the harmnony singing |
