Help me I think that I'm drowning
in a world of Mary-Sue's
help me i think that they're winning
i feel I'm about to lose

I'll miss my personality
the witty remarks that i made
because when I'm a mary-sue
all i'll do is play the game
*
I regret that I never tried
those popcorn-flavored jelly beans
for when I'm just one of them
I'll hate those sugary fiends
*
It's sad i'll never wear my boots
The dirt-caked things I loved
Because when I strut in my heels
In the closet they'll have been shoved
*
Perhaps one day i'll look back
To those days when poetry was my thing
I'll take a look at this poem
And who knows what mean things i'll think? |
