| My heart boomed,like it was about to pop out my chest.The moon glistened over the lake,and the tree's shadows grew across the dew-drenched blades of grass.I was huffing for air as I hid behind a tree.The tree's bark scratched the back of my velvet dress,I didn't notice,but I didn't care.The treacherous figure stopped,and listened for me.I curled my hands into fists,and took off,taking a different path.My heel got caught in a root,and I stumbled.I bit my lip,and worked to get it out.My heel finally slipped out and I sighed in relief.My hair was getting frizzy,from all the humidity.I grasped my hair,and tried to keep it straight.Oh what was the point,this was a life or death situation!I squinted my eyes,shriveling my nose up. The robot-like figure closed it's eyes,and opened them and they were red...I covered my mouth,because I was going to scream.My eyes closed slightly,and I fell to the ground.The noises of the robot's grunting faded away,and it found me,laughing a horrifying laugh.. |
