I bet you didn't see that one coming.
1. Edward Cullen's ga'y-in-denial attitude is no match for Damien's ga'y-and-proud attitude.
2. Aphrodite could kick Alice's a'ss in a fight.
3. Zoey isn't a Mary Sue.
4. Bella and Zoey both have more than one boyfriend [for some parts of the books] but Zoey isn't trying to deny it or act all innocent 'its-not-my-fault' about it, unlike Bella.
5. When Edward found out Bella kissed another guy, he acted like it didn't matter and the sun still rose every morning just for her. When Erik found out Zoey was kissing another guy, he called her a slu't.
Second scenario = MUCH MORE REALISTIC.
6. The villains have actual, non-cliche purposes, unlike in Twilight where everything is about Bella.
7. It has lots of Wicca in it without being unrealistic about it.
8. Both have Native American legends in it. The Native American legends in House of Night are creepy and awesome. The Native American legends in Twilight make the real Quileutes probably want to hang themselves. [NO OFFENSE JACOB]
9. James' sole purpose in life is to kill Bella, along with every other antagonist. The only antagonists in the story are the people that hate Bella [which is stupid, because I'm sure everyone deep down inside hates her - OH WAIT NO because shes just so perfect, never mind, forget I said it] and are very underdeveloped. The House of Night villains are actually dynamic. Number 9 is totally different from number 6, I swear.
10. There are actual messages in the House of Night. Messages that don't tell teens to marry rich when young and get knocked up without going to college.
11. House of Night is about more than just the oh-so-epic romance [AKA l'ust and stalkerness, in Bella and Edward's lives]
12. The House of Night's plot is complicated, awesome and changes throughout the books. Twilight's plot [or lack of] is about the random stupid and pointless events that happen between Edward and Bella, and everyone's attempts to kill Bella, because shes just so special.
13. Which brings up something else. Zoey is called "special" in House of Night, but her friends and people that know her know that she isn't perfect, unlike in Twilight where all the Cullens worship the ground Bella trips over.
14. Zoey suffers for her actions. There are consequences. In Twilight, Bella could kiss whoever, go wherever, do whatever and Edward would still love her, as would all of the Cullens, except for Rosalie who actually has a brain.
15. The characters in House of Night are diverse. They're different looks, different personalities, different skin colors and places that they're from, including the vampyres. In Twilight, all the vampyres look the same, and everything is a GREAT BIG WHITE WORLD.

16. People rise from the dead. How fuucking cool is that?
17. PEOPLE ACTUALLY SWEAR AND TALK LIKE ACTUAL TEENAGERS, unlike in Twilight where Stephenie seems to think all teenagers use kind, non-violent or crude words with each other.
18. It has Stark. Yeah baby.
The real 18. People rise from the dead. How fuucking awesome is that?
19. The sunlight actually hurts them. Vampyres aren't big, sparkly Christmas decorations in House of Night.
20. There is ACTION, unlike in Twilight where everything is about saying cheesy, stupid things to each other in Bella's bedroom.
