Rose was rather shy. Her cheeks were always turning slightly pink, a pale color on her dark skin. She was graceful, but would much rather keep to herself. She always wore dark colors, though her favorite color was the bright blue in the sky. Of course, dark colors kept her from being noticed, and she perferred it that way.
Mika, on the other hand, was always grinning and jumping around. She had rosy cheeks from her wild grin. She always complained about the dresses she had to wear, but only in private. She had these bright green eyes that were enticing - always the first thing you noticed about her. And oh, was she noticable!
No matter how different, they were the best of friends. Rose had long ago been adopted into Mika's family, always the second daughter of the lord and lady of the Winter quarter. Best friends first and sisters second, Rose and Mika were never seen apart.
There was nothing more than that they liked each other. It was a powerful friendship. Mika and Rose complimented each other - Rose, a sensible, graceful, beautiful girl, and Mika with her wild grin and tomboy ways.
A friendship is so many things. It is grand and wonderful, in every case, but in this case, it was something much simplier.
This friendship was a piece of beauty you catch in the world. If only you know how to look, you can find magic anywhere. But with this, it stared you in the face. Friendship seems so simple, such a plain word, but it's really complex.
And that's what makes it beautiful.

*Yeah, it really stinks, and I apologize. I made these dolls and wanted to write something, but I couldn't find something really good. But eh, I like the ending. I like the ending to all my stories, actually. xD |
