The bell rang. It echoed throughout hallways, classroom and even the playground. Students and teachers alike shared a moment of silence and exhaled a gasp of relief. It was Friday. The atmosphere of overly relaxed students gave it away. Somewhere, the first student raced out the classroom in an attempt to escape a teacher who claimed to give him enough detentions to strand him in an impending doom. Else where, a janitor put down his tea down, ready to start cleaning up for the end of the day.

Allan rolled his eyes over to the girl at the window. The girl was looking at him and turned away and blushed when he caught her curious eye. He let his vision wonder to his friends and then looked back at the girl. It was an endless cycle that was broken when Jamie dragged him out the door.

"Can we come round to your house, today?," Jamie asked. The twins looked at him. It crossed their minds that Jamie would do anything to get to Allan.

"Why?," said Allan bluntly. "Your the one with the big screen TV, surround sound plus the Xbox 360. I should be asking to go round your house,"

"Come round my house then. It's Friday and my parents went food shopping yesterday-"

"Snacks! Count me in!," Rob interrupted in mid sentance. Jamie threw a glance at the twins. Brian would follow Allan and Alex would follow Brian so it meant that they would come but their silence was not reassuring. Allan shook his head.

"I only said that to prove a point, but thanks for inviting me anyway -" Allan said gently. Jamie knew Allan's weakness. He grinned evilly. He whispered in Allan's ear.

"Pot noodle," Allan's face was tense. He had only tried it once but it was automatically his favorite food. He tried his best to restrain himself.

"Flavor?," He asked quickly.

"We have them all!," Jamie replied and Allan was hooked.

"I'm coming!," He grinned, letting the thoughts of the woman at home drip away like water.

"Then that makes five," Jamie explained, glancing at the small ring of people. The ring began to dissolve into a group and began to journey towards Jamie's house but before Allan could leave a small hand grabbed onto his sleeve. He looked to see Lilly, blushing red. She removed her hand and looked at the floor.

"Ummm...I," She began but seemed unable to continue. Seeing this, Allan bent to look at her from a lower perspective.

"Hi," He greeted. "I'm Allan,". Somehow, an image of an angry Stacey came into his head. It said: 'You stupid idiot, she already knows your name!,'

"I...I know...ummm...did Stacey talk to you about anything?," She said, trying to look in an area where Allan didn't occupy. Allan was caught. He didn't know what to say. Words of wisdom spoke from an invisible source: "Honesty is the best policy".

"Yes," he said plainly, not wanting to add any details what-so-ever. The girl yelped.

"What ever she told you, can you please forget about it?,"

"Why?," Allan asked. The image of Stacey remained: 'Don't answer a question with another question' it said 'and don't you dare make her feel uncomfortable or else I will-.' He ignored the thought. "Is it not true?," Allan asked. He had didn't anything about how to handle this kind of situation.

"Umm...well," She began to blush again. "It's not the I don't like you but-,"

"Hey Allan, hurry up, we are going now," Allan smiled sweetly. It was an escape route from the hole he had dug himself into.

"I'll see you later, okay?," he waved goodbye. Lilly could only stand and watch, entranced by his smile.

"okay," she muttered to herself. Allan rejoined his group.

"Getting greedy, Allan. Leave us some," Jamie nudged Allan.

"It's not like that!," Allan demanded.

"Suurree, it's not," Rob joined in. Alex glared over the top of his glasses at Allan.
