The bell rang for lunch and the content of the classrooms spilled out into the corridors. Jamie, Rob, Alex, Brian and Allan copied the rest of the class. Their chairs left out and their text books still on a pile on the side of their desks. Before the five could leave the classroom, Mrs. Jones interrupted.

"Brian, Robert, I would like a word with both of you," Mrs. Jones called whilst retiring to her desk.

"Busssted," hissed Jamie from between them. Brian and Rob looked at him with expressions of annoyance.

"Hurry up you two! I don't have all day!," Mrs. Jones snapped. The two sighed and dragged themselves to the front whilst Jamie, Alex and Allan exited into the corridor.

"Ah, yeah! I have to go and see Mr. H about my art project. He said yesterday in class. I'll catch up with you guys later. Okay?," Allan told them, giving them a warm expression. Jamie reflected it without mocking.

"Okay," he grinned. Allan raced off down the hall. Jamie was about to walk opposite but Alex stayed in place, staring after Allan. "Those two will be out in a minute. You know what Mrs. Jones is like, if something cuts back her free time she won't do it and that includes detention," Jamie joked. Alex wasn't listening. His glasses reflected the light so much that his eyes were no longer visible. He stood there, perfectly still. "Hellooo, Alex," Jamie said whilst waving a hand in front of Alex's glasses.

"I have to get an art project too!," he burst out, braking into a run after Allan.

"But you don't do art!," Jamie shouted after him. "Really, I think the whole stalking Allan business has got everyone thinking funny," He muttered under his breath. His stomach complained. He smiled. "Guess I better go to lunch," he told himself before racing to the lunch room.

Allan was nearly at the art room but was grabbed fiercely at the wrist by somebody behind him. He winced in pain but that person didn't notice and continued to drag him backwards. He was swung into a closet by someone, hitting the back of his head on a broom. The door slammed shut with the kidnapper still inside. He rubbed his head with his hand and looked up at his kidnapper. He blushed. Stacey had bent down and was looking under the door to make sure nobody had saw. Unfortunately, that had provided Allan with a full view up her skirt. He stifled a yelp of surprise. Stacey turned round and "shhed" him. Stacey was a particularly small girl with short black hair and petite features. He didn't know her that well.

"Stacey?!," he yelped. She "shhed" him again.

"Keep it down or someone might hear and that won't look for you or me, will it?," She warned. He lowed his voice.

"Stacey," he whispered. "I'm...I'm sorry but I don't feel that way about you," he struggled. Stacey whipped round again.

"Oh put a sock in it!," she whispered whilst pulling a dirty cloth off the shelf and stuffing it in Allan's mouth. Allan spat it out but not before he tasted the disinfectant. He cringed at it's bad taste. "I need to talk to you, privately, away from your rowdy no-brained friends," she told him.

"You could of just asked!," he nearly shouted. Stacey "shhed" him but then it dawned on her that she never thought of that. She blushed and piled together an excuse.

"Because that's not the way I do things," she told him. He sighed.

"Why a closet?," he asked, standing up and brushing down his clothes. He lent a hand to help her up. She took it.

"It was either here or the girl's toilets," she whispered whilst Allan pulled her feet flatly onto the ground.

"On second thought, here is pretty cosey,"

"Glad you see it my way. Anyway, enough pleasantries, I want to talk to you about Lilly,"

"What about Lilly?," He whispered, starting to wonder what this was about.

"She is driving me up the wall! It is either "Allan this" or "Allan that" and she hasn't even been properly introduced!,"

"So? What do you want me to do about it?," he retorted. Stacey blushed, she hadn't thought of that. She didn't think she would get this far.

"Well...uh...you could try talking to her, getting to know her a little better, that kind of thing...," she trailed off into silence. Allan sighed.

"Okay, I will talk to her," he agreed "but why couldn't you have just wrote me a note?,"

"Too risky," she whispered whilst shaking her head. She opened the door and pushed him out quickly. She then shut it again and he was back in the hallway as if nothing had happened.

"Aren't you coming out too?," he asked the door.

"It will look bad if we both come out together, now go away, your making me look suspicious,"

"What do you mean suspicious?!," he yelled at the door. At that moment two girls in the year below past him giggling.

"He is talking to doors! What a freak!," they giggled as they past. Allan growled and stormed away to the art room.

When he had reached to the lunch room, it was in full swing as everyone was having their lunch. He approached the table where Jamie, Rob, Alex and Brian were waiting.

"Hey Allan!," cried Jamie. "Pull up a seat!,"

"I was going to anyway," smiled Allan. Jamie ignored this.

"You will never guess what Rob and Brian did," Jamie was in hysterics. Allan looked at Brian and Rob. Brian looked as though someone had stole his pudding and Rob looked as though he had just ran into wall.

"What?," Allan asked, looking back at Jamie

"You tell them," Jamie said, looking at Rob.

"When I copied his homework, I also copied his name because I was in such a hurry. But it's a mistake anyone could make, right? And I didn't have very much time?," Rob added defencivly. Allan laughed.

"It was not the fact that you had copied my name, Rob, It was the fact that you copied my name and spelt it WRONG!," Brian yelled. Allan and Jamie laughed together. When the two had finished they began to eat. Casually, Alex dropped in:

"Soo, Allan you like Stacey, huh?," Allan spat out his sweet corn.

"Ewww, that gross!," Jamie exclaimed at the sweet corn.

"No, No, No, what made you think that?!," stuttered Allan.

"Oh, nothing," Alex said lamely, returning to his food.
