“Oh yeah? Well I heard she’s a demigoddess!” “Well I heard she’s just weird.” “We’ll see what she's like when she gets here.”
Those were just some of the rumors surrounding the schizophrenic Elemental. Of course, she wasn’t a demigoddess, or weird. She was Cassia, who’s alter ego just so happened to be the most powerful Elemental of the time. The alter ego was called Arya, and took over whenever the two egos agreed, or they were in a tough situation, or provoked. That hardly ever happened, because, except for the 34 people who would meet her in a few minutes. Arya, the stronger of the two, was at the moment, inside a pocket mirror, sleeping. This was possible because the mirror was a type of doorway. When one ego was in form, the other was in the mirror.
“Welcome to St. Butterfly’s Miss...?” The Headmistress, Miss Fulcanis said, and trailed off, wondering what to call her. “Arissa. Just Arissa.” Cassia said, trying to make it so Arya and Cassia were one. “Arissa then. You will be in dorm F. Your Elemental counselors are Mr. Davis, Jodie, and Miss Kwan, should you need help. And yes, I do know about your other self. Arya isn’t it? Well, since it is Saturday, you can just use the time to get settled in. Here is a map of the school. Have fun.” Miss Fulcanis said and went into her office. Cassia looked down at the map, and decided to explore. She walked along the outside of the Main Building. She passed the Kitchen, the Dining Hall, the Battle Arena, the Gym, and the Janitor’s Office. She was in the corner across from the Infirmary when she fell down a shaft behind some bushes. She landed with a bump on a few pillows. “Ouch! How did I get here?” She asked no one. Then she realized the mirror might have cracked. In a frenzy, she jumped up and took out the mirror. She opened it and peered at it. “Phew! Safe and sound!” She murmured. “Worried bout that piece of crap are you?” Came a soft voice from behind her. She jumped and fumbled the mirror. She whipped around and was face to face with another Elemental...  |
