Hello again. Now the first time you saw me hosting a story contest, it was French Fries and Finger Paint. Though you probably don't remember. That was a while ago.
So anyway, here I am again with a story contest at the request of me bestest bud, flying_waffles. This one's for you, Tia. Thanks for helping me make something of my Saturday.
Right. The contest. See, the last time around I had an almost-anything-goes sort of contest. This time I shall narrow it down to one genre–––science fiction. That's right. The most dreaded genre of all. You're welcome.
∞Due Date∞
August 9, 2008. Just be warned that I WILL NOT BE HERE FROM JULY 27 TO AUGUST 2. I have Riverside Bible Camp that week. I'll turn the contest over to someone else reliable for that time period.
∞Rules Time∞
[1] It MUST full under the genre of science fiction. I don't care what it's about, as long as it's still arguably science fiction.
[2] It must follow TDP Terms Of Use. You know, that pretty little box that you have to click "OK" in order to publish your story? And the "All created stories have to follow TDP Terms Of Use. We do not allow any se'xually related material. The Doll Palace will be enforcing this rule and completely blocking access to the accounts that disregard our policy and create se'xually oriented stories" thing above the typing box? Yeah, you gotta follow that.
[3] Keep graphic violence and language to a minimum, kay?
[4] The link for the completed story must be dollmailed to me, mraquelshaw, by the due date. If the story is in parts, I have to have all the links in one dollmail. It just makes things easier for me. And if you do plan to put your story in parts, please try to keep it to under 20 parts. Sorry, guys, but I have to read through each of them and copy and paste them onto the results if it wins.
[5] I can't be anything you've already written.
[6] We're all excellent writers. That's why we're here, right? And even if you don't win, please don't be cruel or rude in any shape or form to the winners, or losers. There are sore losers, but there's also such a thing as a sore winner. So if you can't say anything nice, keep your freakin mouth shut, alright?
[7] As like last time, I am not the judge of the stories. I am simply the guide, if you will. The readers are the judges. The three stories that are the most popular on the charts will be the winners.
[8] Yes, there are three winners. Third, second, and first place.
[9] Your reward will simply be the satisfactory of winning. Oh, and I suppose if your a standard user and want any kind of premium doll made, I could do that, too. Oh! I have a genius idea for the reward! But of course, I won't tell you. You'll just have to wait to find out.

Yeah this would be the part where I'm supposed to say "Good luck to you all!" or something like that. But as you already know, I used "good luck" to fill in rule number 10. Yeah. Good luck and Godspeed.
Remember, think sci-fi. Heedle heedle. Sci-fi is such an awesome word thing.
