(episode 2 to my last story, "The New Girl".) Saya had a horrible dream that night. she had dreamed that a demon was chasing her, her sister, and Toyo. at the end, it had killed her sister and friend, and she was left all cut up and bruised. it felt so real to her, though. she woke up, took her shower, brushed her hair and teeth, and went to go see if her sister was up. she wasnt in her room, or in the house at all. Saya ran downstairs to find her mother cooking something for her to eat. "mother, where is Kana?" her mother turned the stove off, and put an omlet on her plate. "er... i think she told me she was going out to see some friends. she told me to tell you to see her there. i dont know where she went, but she told me you would know." Saya ran out the door. she went to find the same spot she had gone to last night with Toyo and Kana. luckily, they were there with about 3 or 4 other people from last night. " hey, Saya! we were waiting for you to come so we could start training!" Saya walked over to Kana, a little mad, but happy that she was so determined. "you scared me! next time, wake me up so that i know right away!" she looked over at Toyo. she once again, began blushing. he turned his head, trying not to blush. she had almost forgot that he could read her mind. she had thought about why his eyes always changed color from time to time because now, they were light blue. i didnt even have to speak, and he answered the question i had thought about. "i was born like that, okay?" he was blushing like crazy. " my parents could never figure it out. i figured out that it goes by my mood. when i get mad, they turn red. when im calm, they are a light blue. when tired, they turn hazel. when bored, they turn brown, and when green, im...er.... nevermind." he kept silent, not finishing his sentance. "huh? what was the last one?" Toyo was left blushing. "its nothing." he looked up at her. "ha! im guessing violet is shy or embarrassed?" his eyes quickly turned back to blue. "oh! i forgot to give you something!" he set a pile of weapons on the ground. there were swords, guns, kunai, throwing knives, daggers, and others. "pick one. all of us have special weapons that we work best with." she immediatly picked up a large dagger, and held it up to look at it. "test it out." she held it in a throwing position. she aimed for a tree, and when she threw it, and it went straight through the tree, causing it to fall over." im guessing you found the one you want?" like a boomerang, the dagger came back to her, and she was able to grasp it by the handle. "its okay. i can work with this." Kana ran up to the weapons. "ooh! can i get one?" "go on ahead." she picked up a large, black staff. "you want that old thing?" she smirked, and quickly plunged it up against Toyo's stomach, sending him flying. "Kana! you could've killed him!" she saw him walking back over to them, holding his stomach and smiling. "impressive... but why did you test it out on me?" Kana giggled. "im sooo sorry, Toyo. Kana can be a bit hyper at times." "its okay. she found her weapon. i carry kunai." "yeah yeah." Saya wrapped her dagger up in an old cloth, and strapped it to her back. Kana did the same with her staff. "so.... whats first?" Saya was already pumped up and ready to start training. "right now, we dont have anything to accomplish. you havnt been here in Japan very long, and i dont want to put you under alot of pressure. we might as well relax today." "but! we have nothing else to do! come on! there must be something we could work on!"
