Stepping in the light,

Only to retrieve her shadows from the dark.

She's picking up her speed,

Of thought,

And of walk.

Take your inclinations,

And turn them into actions.

Take it all,

And turn it into actions.

Laced together,

Glued and tied.

How he and she were once combined.

Creating all that was there, and complied.

She let those thoughts, those actions,

Drop from her hand.

Turning of the page,

Deleted from memory,

Erased and blocked out.

Her innocence is no longer beauty.

Dropped from the hand,

Let go into the breeze,

All in one release.

These knots,

This knowledge,

Still there, but pushed away.

Enjoyment is replacing the discomfort.

Staring at things that aren't references.

Speaking of things that aren't sensed,

By the people around her.

He and she are seperate,

Pushed away from each other,

By their own hands.

And she let it drop from her palms,

And she let it cloud her thoughts,

But it's been picked up,

And now it is thrown away-

These thoughts, these feelings!

All gone in one toss.

Stepping from the shadows,

Into the light,

No longer contrite,

And no longer clutching something,

That was never there.

Smiles now grace the lips of them both,

For they have turned, and face the images,

Of who they are meant to see,

And it will never be,

Their same faces.
