My name's Maggie. I'm a letter carrier. You need to be fast, but look professional. Recently, I started carrying a correspondance between Maddison Acridge and Princess Harriet Lail. Harriet trusts me and has shown every letter. They know everything about each other, Harriet and Maddison do. They know everything about each others societies, too. I've been trusted with the job to explain things. I'll try and make it quick.

General Information - During the day, we have the sun. During the night, we have a moon. Our moon is much bigger than yours, and much brighter. It's always full. We don't have any stars. Our culture is a mixture of modern and medieval, if we're using your terms. We have useful modern things, but we don't have things like... IPods, is it?, TVs, and computers. We do have radios, but it doesn't work all that well. We also have some things that would be "futuristic" for you. Our cars look like the cars from all time periods, but they don't pollute at all, and are completely silent, for example.

Magics - The beings who have powers. They would be considered mythical beings where you live. These include mages (humans with elements), fairies, pegasi, unicorns... We live side-by-side with them.

Pirates - They love causing chaos. They're like your pirates. They're very superstitious and hate anything of magic. There's also some pirates that wander together on land. They always try to get close to the closer and help their friends on sea.

Moonshattered - It's the equivalent of "starstruck". Seeing as we don't have stars...

Seasons - The only place that has seasons here is the castle in the center of the realm. We have the winter quarter, the summer quarter, the fall quarter, and then the spring quarter. The Spring and Fall quarters are heavily populated, for they aren't too hot or too cool, though Spring rains a lot, and Fall has a lack of it.

Rules of Magic - Rules that all magics learn and know by heart. They are general rules to the use of power. Good magics have an equal balance of instinct and these rules. Evil magics... Well, we never know what goes on with beings of evil, human and magic.

Magic Be With You - A form of wishing good luck.

Farewell and Fare Well - Translating, "Goodbye and have good health."

Hali-Beings - Mutated animals. They combine human, magic, and animal intellegence to create a force to be reckoned with. All of them are evil and very ruthless. They thrive on negative things, such as sadness, destruction, fear, and darkness. All beings hate them except other halis. Surprisingly enough, halis are very affectionate when communicating with their own species, even when it is something like hali-mice communicating with hali-cats.
