RECAP OF CHAPTER 2:
I headed out the door, wondering where Tyler was. I couldn’t help not seeing his cute dreamy eyes! I decided to walk inside the leadership building to check the classes out. I thrust open the two narrow entrance doors. I spotted a room full of people, I walked inside, and no one seemed to notice I was there, because of the crowd. Suddenly I saw Tyler. Perfect place, too bad the room was full. I tried to walk closer to him.
I was just about to talk to him. However I was cut short, by a girl I couldn’t tell who, since I fell to the ground as of her interruption among my future husband! I shook my head and saw who it was. It was that blonde haired, girl who insulted me big-time!
“Hey, babe.” Tyler said to her has they made out. “You look cute today.” She said. “You do too, Kaila.” He gushed.
Kaila? Tyler has a girlfriend?!?!?!?! Named KAILA! I was shocked, why on earth would he like her, she was an obsessed, offensive, gross-out, mean, scrawny behind MONSTER!
I couldn’t move.
CHAPTER 3
I stood up, immediately, and rushed out of the room. I took off out of the building, until I bumped into Mac. My eyes were sizzling red, and watery. I started sobbing. “Candice? What’s wrong? What happened?” He asked looking down at me, as I tried to hide my face. “Nothing.” I whispered as I walked away from him. I ran off into the cabin. Jen had already left, into the Leadership building, since today was a free period; I guess it always was on the first day.
All I wanted to do was write in my diary. I felt hurt humiliated even if I was the only one who knew I liked him. I sat on my bed crossed legged, as I took out my pencil and diary.
Dear diary,
I just saw the most horrible thing happen. Tyler has a girlfriend named Kaila, and additionally she is the worst! I feel like punching her face inside out! Tyler was mine and only mine, and I bet deep down he likes me better than that stupid witch, Kaila! But I seriously don’t get why Tyler likes someone like her, they both are cute together but NOT meant for each other! I’m supposed to be with Tyler not her! I don’t care if Kaila looks like a model or the most perfect-looking girl in the world but, even if she is, she could also be the meanest one too! My heart keeps pounding so hard I could hear it, as if it’s going to leap out! I’ve never felt this hurt! I hate her, I hate her, and I hate her! I can’t stop hating her, she can be soooo irritating! What a mean little twit! Stupidity strikes again, all because of her! If I had a chance to kill her I wouldn’t say no! Oh god, I can’t believe this, I feel so powerful, and I’ve never been this mad while writing in my diary! But it’s the TRUTH. I HATE STUPID KAILA, AND I’LL NEVER CHANGE MY MIND!

I stuffed my diary back into my shoulder bag. I was completely bored and calm. Since I’ve released my feelings in my diary I felt better. I wrapped my finger around a few strands of my dark, black hair. I ambled over to the mirror and wiped off my mascara that had streamed down my face, from my tears.
The door shoved open; it was Jen, and another girl with her suitcases. She had chocolate coloured hair, and pale green eyes. “Hey, I’m Cairn.” She said, with a grin, as she walked inside with her suitcase. “Hi, I’m Candice.” I said trying to smile, even though I felt miserable right now.
“New camp mate.” Jen whispered to me. “Yeah, I figured.” I said, slightly smirking.
Cairn took off her sweater and threw it on her top bunk. “So, do we have any classes right now?” Cairn asked Jen. “Nah, it’s a free period on first days, but tomorrow we do. They’re posting up schedules on each cabin door, first thing.” Jen said, leaning against the couch. “Oh, cool. So if we’re going to be campmates I guess we should hang out.” Cairn started. “Sure.” I said, trying to take my mind off Tyler.
“Great!” Jen squealed, happily. “What’s so great?” I asked wondering why she was this excited. “I bought three tickets to a concert!” She shrieked, as her smile grew wider. “But its camp rules, we can’t wander off campus.” I warned. “Okay, don’t tell me you’re one of those goody-two shoes. C’mon it’ll be fun; we’re sneaking down tonight at 10: 00PM.” She said, giving me a convincing look. “Fine with me.” Cairn agreed.
“Okay, okay. A girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do!” I corresponded, smiling back. “Yes!” They both shouted. “What concert is it anyway?” I asked. “My Chemical Romance!” She shouted jumping up and down. I had to admit I loved them!
“Great!” I shouted, while hugging her. At least this would make me feel a bit better about lack of common sense. (You know what I mean.)
At exactly 10: 00, we left the campus. The concert was a multitude of people screaming, waving hands, and jumping up and down with enthusiasm. The stage had blue, purple, and yellow spotlights beaming across. We were at the back, since after the contest we could sprint over to the signings faster.
“I can’t believe we’re actually here!” I shouted. “I know! This is so cool!” Cairn agreed, shrieking. The place was filled with eagerness. There were even a bunch of girls trying to sneak into the band’s makeup room! The security even caught a few girls trying to kidnap the guitarist! Who knew people would kill their own selves by scraping them with a pitchfork to see a band.
I took a momentary look around, until I fixed my eyes on Tyler! He was here! I didn’t know he was a fan. That’s one thing we have in common. Suddenly his eyes passed by me then glanced back at me. Uh-oh, I think he recognizes me! Oh god, he’s walking over here!
“Hey, Candice! You snuck here too?!” He asked trying to shout over the huge swarm. “Yeah! So you came here alone?!” I shouted back. “Yeah!” He shouted. “Sorry, about today, I kind of took things too seriously about the lie!” He apologized. “Don’t be!”
He abruptly, gazed into my eyes, so did I. I never knew his eyes were so blue, they glistened with the moonlight. Doesn’t he already have a girlfriend? Why was he looking at me so deeply? Omigsh! Maybe he dumped her! His lips came closer that I could smell his mint breath and fragrance of his scent. My lips came closer to his. This was it! We were going to kiss!
Unexpectedly, I felt an elbow, slightly nudge my stomach. “Look, Candice! They’re playing! Aren’t they great?!” Jen squealed, as she waved her hands, devotedly in the air. “Um yeah…” I muttered, uncomfortably. I looked away, embarrassed but happy inside, as of the thought of him just about to kiss me!
“Tyler! What are you doing?!” A womanly figure appeared from the dark. It was Kaila. “Why were you about to kiss, this piece of ugliness!?” She shouted furiously, heaving him away from me. I heard Tyler trying to make up excuses but then his voice washed away. I sighed, dreamily, but confused. I tried to avoid the confusion and only keep the greatest dream alive! Except this time it wasn’t a dream it actually was about to happen!
The concert was over. Cairn, Jen and I were racing over to the singings. We were first. Cairn got her signature on her arm, Jen got hers in a book which had signatures of all kinds of celebrities, since her native land was Hollywood. I got mine on a poster and my arm. I was so happy, one I got a huge signal from Tyler that he liked me inside, second I got a signature from my favourite band!
When we reached to campus, we walked over to our cabin. I shook the door knob trying to open it. It was locked! “What happened?” Jen whispered. “It’s locked.” I said, slumping, sleepily. It was past midnight. “What’re we going to do?” Cairn asked worriedly. “Didn’t any of you guys bring your keys?” I asked.
“No, its inside they placed it in our cabin when we left. D.amn! I should’ve known that’s what they do every year.” Jen protested, at herself. “An argument with yourself isn’t going to get us inside is it?” Cairn pointed out to Jen.
“You guys! How are we going to get inside?” I asked, thinking. “I don’t know, the only way is to sleep outside.” Jen approved. “No way!” Cairn disagreed. “I’m wearing a new pair of jeans!”
“What’s important? Jean’s or not sleeping at all?” I asked, tediously. “Fine.” Cairn accepted. “But wait, anyone have a watch with an alarm in it?” I asked. “Yep!” Jen said, as she showed me the watch. “Okay, set the time at exactly 6: 00AM.” I told her.
“Why?” She asked, baffled. “So, we could wake up before they unlock our cabin doors, because we need to brush our teeth, and get dressed!” I said, in an obvious tone. “I knew that.”
I rested my shoulder bag on the cemented floor, and lay my head on top of it as a pillow. I closed my eyes. |
