THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING THIS JUST CAN'T I THOUGHT. Delancy my best friend had just told me that Kendle and Rosa had just broke up. Now was my chance to win Kendle's heart, but Rosa would hate me more and try and get me kicked off the dance team for good. " That's good news Dede, but you know i can't do that she'll kill me,"I said letting her know that I couldn't risk that. "Oh please when did you become goody goody Slyvia?" she asked trying to be funny.
I rolled my eyes. She was right, but Kendle didn't even know me i don't think he even notices me like i notices him. " Look maybe later in life, but right now i have to get this schlarship and i'm not letting Rosa or anybody ruin that for me and plus i love blue and he hates it," I said. Delancy laughed because she knew i was right. Every chance he got Kendle would let everyone in the school know he hated blue over the annocement. lunch period, and in class. " All jocks hate blue, but if he see it on you i bet he'll love it to the full so-called brain of his.
I laughed so did she. " Come on for we be late you know how Mr.Willis is," i said walking faster. "Know how he is he's my father how can i not know how he is," she replied. Yeah it was true Mr. Willis our science teacher was Delancy father so she had to be extra good everywhere she went. We got to his class in time before the bell rong. " Ok class and daughter we will read about plants that eat insects today . I had Kendle that period and i know Rosa would try and make me jealous even if they were broken up. For the first time in my life Kendle had looked up to see who was walking in and seen that it was me. His expression showed he liked what he'd seen, but didn't like the color i had on which was blue as usually.
"Oh my god dad do you always have to say that just say class it's much better," Delancy said. The class laughed and my eyes went staight to Kendle who's dimples filled the air like a hot air ballon. " Really funny sweetheart, but daddy's little girl will always be called out in front of everyone capeace," he said then turned to the board. At that time Rosa had walked in late as usual. " The queen B is in the house so boys look out cause i'm single again wanna take a number you just might be the lucky one," she said as she came in. People laughed, boys drooled, I rolled my eyes, Delancy called her a staight sl*t, and Kendle ignored.
Rosa sat in her usual spot with her crew, but was seated by her best friend Jessi Ling, a chinese girl whose eyes where to big for her face. " Oh please like anyone would want that dryed up cat," said Delancy. A whole laughter filled the room and Delancy father had already had invisible horns poking out of his head form his daughters remark. " Delancy Jean Willis up here right now and yes i am tellin your mom about this. Sitt in the chair and think about what you did this is a time out for you," he said. Knowing her dad he was serious.
The room laughed again, but Rosa had a frowned that showed she was going to get back at Delancy if it was the last thing she did. "Why do we have time outs anyway Mr.Willis isn't that kinda dumb we're highschoolers not babies," said Chuck Sanchez an outcast from middle school on up.Everybody sighed because they knew it was a good question, but knowing Mr. Willis for the rest of the class period he was about to give a whole speech about why and that;s just what he did. When the bell rong I counld't wait on Delancy because her dad wanted to talk to her about the comment.
As soon as i hit the door going into the hall, the so called cool Rosa had a word to say. " Well if it isn't the b*tch who likes the color of oceans," she said. Her and the crew laughed. " Well if you know anything at all Rosa not all are blue some are green from salt and remind me of you," i replied back. All laughing stopped and she came closer. " Tell me why I sholudn't beat you down right here right now," she said. A smirk came over my face and i had to let her know i wasn't scared and would never be. " Because if you do i'll put you in a hospital so quick you'll come out looking like George Bush on crack," I said.
Her friends had to laugh about that, but she snapped her hands to put them back in check. " You know for a blue freak you got a mouth on you, but i can pop that sucka right off if you keep talking," she said gietting angry. I laughed at that cause if she thought she could touch me it was gone be on. " OOOOH i'm scared Rosa don't cash a check ya as* can't get you out of ok," I replied and walked away leaving her and her posse to goe and sase to class. i didn't notice Kendle right there, but he must have like the way I stood up to her because he stopped me at the end of the hall. Fisrt i thought it was Delancy who stopped me , but when i turned to see who it was. My skin melted and a huge smile came over my face. His first actual words to me was "You where great standing up to her like that i've never seen anyone do it before,". I smiled even harder before knowing that I was freaking him out by smiling.
