This morning I woke up when my maid , Pompette , opens the blinds. She handed me a simple gown but yet still so beautiful. ( readers that is not it for the doll thats for later on in this part) The first thing that I saw was my parents at the front door. " Marissa dear , you cannot be serious about wearing that today!!!!", screeched Mother, " Have you forgotten already Dearest?" I saw what they were wearing and was horrified! I had forgotten we were going to tea.then dinner and finally a ball!!!!! I groaned and went upstairs to change into my tea gown.
As soon as i was ready I scurried downstairs and into the carriage. Most of the way to Lady Merry's (My best friend in the whole world!!!) House, I stared out the window at the passing trees. Eventually we arrived and i scrambled over the footman to run inside, forgetting what i had been taught. Merry came running out and we hugged. "Oh dearest Marissa!!! How have you been???? Tell me all about the man hunt your parents are conducting", laughed Merry. "don't worry Merry i will tell you ", I said rolling my eyes.
We both ran inside and straight to the parlour where tea was being served. Merry and i sat down and began chattering away. When it was time to leave Merry was whining. " Do you hafta go Marissa????, she whined."I must Merry we will see eachother at the ball tonight i promise goodbye", i murmered. We smiled and i got into my carriage and we drove away . Once we arrived at the Hall where the dinner and dance was taking place , me and Mother rushed inside so we can go to the "ladies room" and change our dresses.We somehow managed to get through dinner and then came the dance. When i entered the area set up for dancing I looked around. As i scanned the pplz faces , I suddenly gasped. There was the man from my dream........ |
