xDDD the suspensee.......

I stared in shock and confusion but just as I opened my mouth to say something Merry breezed over and smiled at me. " OH! I've forgotten to introduce u to him!!!!", she squealed. "WHAT WHAT WHO!!!", I all but screamed. " MY FRIEND!!!", she squealed smiling , " or to you , the man you r staring at!!!!" "oh", was all i could say as Merry steered me towards him. Just as we neared him , he turned and my heart melted. " Merry!!! Is this Countess Villebrand , the one you have been telling me about?" , he said smoothly, his voice as rich as chocolate .
"why yes it is , dear Lancelot", she said trying hard not to laugh. He bowed and kissed my outstretched hand " My dear Countess, you are lovelier then a rose in the springtime ", he said. "this is my friend , Marissa, Lancelot, the duke of Suffolk", Merry said. I curtsied and said " Your Grace". He smiled and said " Oh dear I'm afraid I've got some buisness to attend to! I will see you ladies later". And with that he left the ball. The next couple hours I spent in several men's arms spinning round to the music.
One particular man got my attention. Hayden, Duke of Norfolk. I really enjoyed spending a few hours with him. Although my parents didnt seem amused to see me with him even though he was a duke. The only one they seemed to favour was Carl, Duke of Winsor. i hated dancing with him, he kept holding me too tightly as if i would run away. I stumbled a few times and all he did was laugh at me. When he finally released me, I looked around for Lancelot but could not find him anywhere. I sought out Hayden but he was dancing with a red haired girl and went for a walk in the gardems where i heard some unexpected voices......
