**I know the title sounds a little strange, but this story is about some kids who live with an old couple. Until the woman's husband dies and they have to begin a new life in a new town. So, it is called a spatula made of jell-O because the are having a difficult time picking up the pieces. Like it would be difficult to pick up things with a jell-o spatula...**

Spiridoula piled her stuffed animals closer around her on the floor. It was going to be her birthday next week, and she would be turning five. Probably more stuffed animals to add to her collection. Eighteen year old Jasmine pirouetted into the room, her cellphone glued to her ear. She chatted away, taking no notice of the mound of stuffed toys Spiridoula was hidden beneath. She heard a phone hang up in the other room and slippered footsteps shuffle through the open doorway. "It must be Gran'ma." thought Spiridoula. She heard the old woman take a shuddery breath and the wood of a cane groan as she leaned heavilly on it. Jasmine ended the call on her cell abruptly, and pranced over to Grandma. "Oh, Granny, who were you on the phone with? Did you get any news about the money? Oh, please do tell me!" Grany tooka deep breath. "We won't be recieving any money." she said slowly sounding almost disbelieving. "It was Harold's old boss, Frank. He said he was sorry, but the company wasn't obligated to give us any money." Jasmine gasped, sounding distressed. "Grandma, what about the funeral? Won't it cost money?" Grandma nodded sadly. "I think we should sell this house as quickly as possible to get some money, and then just buy a smaller one." Jasmine looked around at the older house. "I don't think anyone would buy this house-- no matter how cheap it is-- in it's present state." "No," Grandma agreed, "I'll call Great Aunt Belinda to bring some of her funiture and maybe we can stage it up a bit." Spiridoula wiggled underneath her animals. "Spiridoula?" Grandma sounded a little exasperated, but Spiridoula didn't know that. She was, after all, only almost-five. "Yes Gran'ma?" Chirped Spiridoula. Despite the situation, Grandma had to spare Siridoula a small chuckle. "Did you hear everything the grown-ups were talking about?" Spiridoula, being an honest little one, popped her head out of her stuffed animals so she could see, chirped happily again, "Yes Gran'ma." and as an afterthought, "Gran'ma, what does 'stage' mean?" Just then Demitri and Caramelle walked into the room. "Wow, did I miss anything?" Demitri says some pretty lame things, thought Caramelle. But she forced a smile anyways. "Hey Granny, Jasmine, Spiridoula." Spiridoula piped up, "Hi Cara, Hi Dummy!" Demitri groaned. Of her entire family, Spiridoula only mispronounced her name. Her smile came out as a grimace.

Its really good, actually. I love titles with a phase that means something different than it seems. Tis awesome although the whole thing was just one big paragraph, try to seperate them, especially when someone is talking.

But it was still great.
