I sat there as Venom kissed me again and again; I held my jaw tight, then he was finished, faster than usual. He smiled at me.
“You know what I think would be fun?”
“What?” I whispered tot his demon that calls himself vampire.
“I think I’ll take you home, then we’ll have a REAL challenge on our hands won’t we?” He leaned closer to me. “And maybe I’ll actually DIE that time.”
“Why are you doing this?” I blurted.
“Why?”
“Yes.”
“Because, ever since the day that I saw you in that school I knew I had to have you, but then I only wanted you for a while, but now …” He pressed his lips onto my neck and let in a deep breath through his nose. “You’re just so tough to predict and you and you’re little family have a history in the clans of the vampires, but I still don’t know how long it will take for the Council of Vampires to get to you.”
“I’m betting you just jinxed it.”
“That would be interesting, if you have to do what happened I that one vampire book, Twilight isn’t it? I’ll gladly be the one to bite you…” He brushed his knuckled against the nape of my neck.
“No, I want Theo-.”
“THEO!” He thundered, I watched the nightmare come back and I winced. The hands were gone; they had been gone ever since he quit kissing me. “That blasted BOY! I don’t see what he has that I don’t!” Venom growled. “Or further more, I have everything eh doesn’t!”
“But-.”
“I have intelligence, strength, strategy, an actual FAMILY and not what he’s got which is you people, besides you,” Venom brushed his knuckles against my cheek. “As you can see I have various amounts of talents that he does not posses.”
“I don’t care what talents he possesses.” I said softly. “He’s a great guy, he has a great personality, and he’s funny, darkly humorous, romantic…” I sighed and let my back fall into the soft pillows.
“So that’s all you’re looking for in a guy?” I let my face go blank, oh sh*t, I just said all that out loud didn’t I? “I can be romantic…” He smiled and brushed his lips against mine “And darkly humorous…” He pressed his lips hard on mine as I leaned back onto the pillows, further.
“Stop!” I screamed, pushing him off. “Why do you have to compete with everyone that I fall in love with?” I screamed sitting up and looking at him.
“Because, when I want something, I ALWAYS get it.”
“Spoiled brat….” I murmured.
“Yes, I’m spoiled, so as you can see, I can give you everything you ever wanted, a wedding of you’re dreams, a man of you’re dreams, and a house that will be big enough to fit an elephant inside one room.”
“So you’re going to get me a pet elephant right?”
“If that’s what you want.”
“You can’t BUY me out with this stuff!” I snarled. “I actually look past the money when it comes to love!”
“Then why can’t you see me? Why can’t you see how I am the man for you?”
“Because you’re not!” I growled.
“LOVE ME!” He snarled, pinning my shoulders down on the bed, his eyebrows arched and an evil glint in his eye. “I want you to love me now! I demand that you fall in love with me right at this moment!”
“No!” I screamed struggling to be free before he hurt me.
“DO IT!”
“No!” I kicked him and raced tot eh door, trying to find my way through the dim light, I felt the cold door and tried to reach fort eh door knob, went down quickly.
“I didn’t know you liked me like that Lenore.” Said the door. I backed away as my wrists were grasped, Georgian stood there smiling. “Where’s Pearl?”
“Let her go, she’s mine!” Venom snarled, they were like two lions fighting over the same lioness.
“Come on, where is she?” He growled low, smile fading. I wriggled in his iron grip as he kept asking the same question.
“If I tell you you’ll just feed off of her like some kind of leech!”
“She belongs to me now where IS she?” He snarled, Venom growled across the room, standing up from the bed. He grinned as Venom did, and asked once more. “Where is Pearl?”
“I won’t talk!” I snarled, spitting in his face, he threw me across the room as my back pelted against the wall, Venom attacked, ripping and biting, no mercy escaped this treacherous beast called vampire.
“Lenore…” I heard a whisper come from the window and I looked up, Theo was hanging out over the ledge of the window looking at me, then place a finger over his lips. “Come on.” He reached out to me; I grasped his hand and let him pull me close to him.
Sonia some how liked to drive her Lamborghini to every fight/rape/ kidnapping. That we had. I didn’t understand and I wasn’t going to ask.
“I can’t believe I’m home, I died, came back from death, was kidnapped again, tried to be forced to fall in love with him, nearly killed again, and … now I’m home.” I sighed and looked up at Theo who held me in his arms, I creased my brows when I saw that he took out the snakebites and got earrings along the top of his ear instead.
“What?”
“Huh? Oh! I just noticed the change that you made with you’re piercing.”
“Oh, that.”
“Why’d you get rid of the snakebites?”
“Because, it made it harder to hunt.” He chuckled and I laughed. Sonia was arguing with Gossamer, but Gossamer was smiling… I didn’t know if that was a good or bad thing.
“Theo…”
“Yes?” He held his arm tight around my shoulders.
“If I didn’t love you … would you make me fall in love with you?”
“Never, you’d be happy with that other man and it just goes to show that you weren’t the one.”
“Alright.” I lay my head don on his chest and smiled.
“Now can I ask YOU a question?”
“What?”
“What did heaven look like?” I paused for a moment and thought.
“White … very, very white, and boring.”
“Like clouds and stuff?”
“Yeah, basically, I was expecting something that DIDN’T look like the cartoons.” He laughed.
“So you didn’t like it?”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Because, heaven is hell without you.”
“I could say the same thing about earth.” He hugged me tightly. “Promise you won’t do that again.”
“As long as you don’t die.”
“I’ll try and keep myself from dying.” He chuckled.
I walked though the halls of my house; Sonia had taken it upon herself to stay for the night and watch MY TV. I walked past the bathroom door when I heard singing I walked over to the living room.
“Who’s in the bathroom?”
“Theo…” Sonia let out not taking her eyes from MY TV, she had her own she could watch stuff on HERS.
“Huh.” I walked back into my room and listened to his voice through the walls as I lay in the bed. He sounded so much like Skillet from the Song, Last night, which he was singing. I cuddled up to my pillow and smiled closing my eyes.
“Lenore.” I pulled my head up, the melody had stopped and I saw Theo standing at the door. “Are you trying to got o sleep?”
“No, I didn’t know that you could sing, I mean, Sonia sucks, but I don’t know about Centric.”
“Yes, my dada has clear voice, I have a voice like … I have static in my voice.”
“But I like it.” I hugged him as he lay next to me.
“Can you sing?” I blushed, rubbing my face into his shirt.
“I have stage fright.”
“But can you sing?”
“I don’t know.”
“How can you not know?” He chuckled. “Unless you’ve never sung before.”
“I have, I’ve tried to sing in front of an audience and freaked out, I kept the paper in front of my face and everything.”
“Did you pass out?”
“No, that’s you’re mom, she passed out while we were in chorus.”
”I heard that story from Gossamer, she tells him everything.”
“Does he tell her everything?”
“I don’t know, Sonia never tells his stories.” Theo kissed the top of my head. “Do you want to become a vampire Lenore?”
“Uh, well …”
“Yes?” He guessed, I gulped and fiddled with my fingers.
“Yes.” I said guiltily. “But the limit to the age of biteation is eighteen.”
“Biteation?” I smiled.
“It’s new term.”
“I see, well … we got a notice in the mail … it was fro the Council of the Vampires.” I knew he jinxed it. “And it said that … the head of the vampires, the elder … wants to meet with you, to see if you truly live up to the history you have made for yourself.”’
“Who has that kind of imagination to think up such cruel and twisted things?”
“I don’t know, but they’d be a sheer genius.”
“I know.” I let out. “Hmm …” I started humming twinkle, twinkle little star, and then shut my eyes tightly. And Sang I felt my stomach twist and turn, making back flips inside me. When I finished I planted my face in the pillows not wanting to see Theo’s expression.
“I love you’re voice.” He purred, stroking my hair. I turned my face to the side, resting my cheek on the pillow now as he smiled at me. “I don’t see why you never sing more often, or why you’re shy about it.”
“I was born like that, I’m a freak.”
“But you’re my special freak.”
“SPECIAL ED!” Sonia screamed from the hallway, Theo kicked the door shut again and smiled.
“Now we can have some peace.”
“I’M NOT LEAVING YET!” Sonia screamed again.
“She’s going to put her ear up against the door, then it’s going to swing open in … two … one.” I counted down as Sonia fell into the room on queue.
“I wasn’t listening!” She shouted.
“Sure you weren’t Sonia.” I sighed laying my head back on the pillow.
“Now come on Theo time to go home.”
“Mom, you know I live with Lenore right?”
“Who knows what could happen while you two are here now Come ON!” She pointed to the door and stomped her foot.
“What about Lenore, are you sure you can keep her here ALONE while venom I still out there.” She glared at him.
“You’ve won this round Theo … BUT I WILL BE BACK!” She raced out of the room making whooshing sounds and holding out her arms like superman.
“NOW we have peace,” he kicked the door closed again and kissed my neck to my jaw then pressed his lips onto mine, wrapping his arms around my waist as I placed my hands on his face pulling him closer. He whispered my names each time our lips were freed and I couldn’t help but get butterflies. I felt his grip tighten on my waist and then he was gone, I sat up looking around the room, he was leaning his back on the doorframe and letting out deep sighs, as if he were out of breath, he was sweating too.
“Theo? What’s wrong?”
“You’re scent, you’re touch, you,” He placed a hand over his face and groaned in pain. “I’m getting…”
“Getting what?” He groaned in pain again. “Theo, getting what?”
“It’s the disease that only affects … ugh … vampires.”
“That isn’t helping me, I’m not a vampire.”
“You have to get a shot … vaccine.”
“A shot … Oh I know it!” I went through the filing cabinets I my head. “Bloodlust!”
“Yeah, that one.” He dug his nails into the wall and slammed the back of his head on the wall.
“Just calm down I’ll go get Sonia and Gossamer and Valentine and-.” He grabbed my arms; his irises were unbelievably small, he looked a bit like the level D vampires off of Vampire Knight. Is that what Bloodlust made them become? My back was pelted against the wall as he slowly moved his head up to look at me, eyes tiny little red dots.
“Lenore.” His fangs ripped through his gums as I saw the little droplet of bright yellow venom that came out of the tip of his right fang. My eyes widened as I felt a strange sensation run across my neck.
“Theo, I’m not letting you lose it, I’m going to fight with you until this is cured.”
“Are you afraid?” He purred.
“Never.” I whispered back.
“Then you’re a fool.”
“I’m only a fool if I let you go.” He went for my throat as I grabbed his jaw, pushing it back. “I’m not loosing you!” |
