Well I got it, but it hardly works =o
I think I need a better graphics card. Anyway, I'm dissapointed there's still zoning, as I wanted to build a flowing city architecture. I'm DISGUSTED There's no way to make your own neighbourhood! >.> Or does anyone know a way? =P The CAS has certainly changed to allow quite a bit more movement, but it seems slightly less weird than the sims 2 CAS. I haven't managed to get a gameplay view of the neighbourhood yet, but it seems quite well designed for the sims. I am the Master lolcat. FEAR ME!

I am LOVING Sims 3. I didn't start playing until Sims 2 came out, b/c my friend lent me her cd's. I mostly build houses and spend hours perfecting interior design concepts. So I HAD to have Sims 3, since you can create your own styles for every piece of clothing/furniture/walling/flooring/etc. I even splurged and got the collector's edition, b/c it came with an extra neighborhood. (Unfortunately, sneaky ppl put it up online, so I could have saved some dough.)
