Oghren is the only returning party member. Some others make cameos though. You can talk to your party members when you find conversation triggers - objects that you can click on (like the cask behind Oghren at the Keep). I liked the Origins system more, but I think this works pretty well too.
And yup, I've heard about Darkspawn Chronicles, but it's the only DLC I haven't downloaded yet. It just doesn't sound very interesting tbh. Anyway, I managed to somehow mess up my AddIns file so now the game no longer recognizes Awakening as being installed... so I'm stuck with Origins. Started my fourth playthrough (and my first male character), though I'm kinda losing interest in the game. Might have to take a little break.

I played Neverwinter Nights for a little while online. But I don't really like MMORPG's very much.
Have you ever played The Elder Scrolls? If I treated you bad, you'd bruise my face. Couldn't love you more you got a beautiful taste. Don't let the days go by...glycerine. |

Nope. The only Bioware game I played was the Baldur's Gate series, which IMO was just as good as DA (though obviously the graphics are outdated by now, it's over 10 years old). I think I tried out NWN too, though I don't really remember anything about it XD. But I've heard the rest of their stuff is good too, Mass Effect, KotoR etc. I've also heard good things about Black Isle games (Fallout and Planescape: Torment especially), but haven't managed to get my hands on them yet.

Yeah, my boyfriend works at Blockbuster, so I get to try pretty much any game I want to out for free.
The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is by Bethesda. That's the game I played right before Dragon Age. It has an open world, and you can probably put about 500 hours into the game, if not longer. The world is MASSIVE. There are numerous caves and ruins and forests to explore. You can be in guilds. You can steal pretty much anything. Pick up anything. You can buy a house and a horse. It's my firm belief that if you combined Oblivion with Dragon age you'd have the worlds perfect game. The open world of Oblivion and the companions of Dragon Age? Man...I'd never want to stop playing. You should really give that game a try! I use to play The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind when I was a kid. That's also a good game, but...the graphics are super crappy. Lol. It's funny...I remember them being almost real... If I treated you bad, you'd bruise my face. Couldn't love you more you got a beautiful taste. Don't let the days go by...glycerine. |
