aren't all the hobbits cousins? and they're all related...i don't remember, i need to finish the books (two towers where they walk for half a book has stopped me on my four attempts) but i thought so. oh well. i agree with you, merry without pippin is just strange...

Frodo and Pippin are cousins, and I think Merry and Pippin are cousins, but I don't know about Sam.

I finally saw 2 of the 3 movies, after given the wrong reasons to see them, great looking guys in like every scene. Can't wait to see the 3. Still waiting for it to come.

Never seen any of the movies, but have seen pics. I chose Sam-Sean Astin cuz I grew up with him and I think he is a wonderful actor and was very cute back in the day. Merry-Dominic Monaghan would be my second choice cuz he's such a cutie as Charlie on Lost. Elijah, well he was adorable as a kid, but now, not too sure. He's good looking in his own way

I hafta agree with you. Dom is cute as Charlie on Lost. And ELijah is really adorable in the movie as Frodo. He has big blue eyes. Billy is cute in it too. And Sam is sweet. I knew some girl who loved them all.

I watched the extended version of The Two Towers last night, but sadly it skipped in my favorite part, and most of the 2nd half of the movie. I'm trying to fix it.

Okay I'm a Tolkien Purist. That means I had a huge beef about the movies.
As far as the best looking hobbit is concerned, I'd say Sean Astin was the closest to looking hobbitish from the description in the books, minus the blond hair. Hobbits were supposed to be fat! NOT SKINNY!!!
