this seems like the best place to post this...I would like to try handdrawing, and there are a plethora of tuts here, but I lack an editing program. Is there anyway to edit pixel by pixel online?

Have you tried searching for 'online image editing program' on Google? I found Pixlr, which seems like it might be suitable for dolling - looks a bit similar to Photoshop.
Why does it have to online, though? Can't you download programs? |
I hadn't thought of that...but doesn't downloading programs cost money? I don't have any way to pay for them.

Well, there's a number of free downloadable programs, GIMP is one of the more popular ones and works with pretty much any OS. If you're using Mac OS, you might want to try out Paintbrush, which is a simple program similar to MS Paint.
