How to Report Problems
Before you continue, please keep in mind that we do not have access to anything on the mainsite. I know that helpdesk keeps directing people here, but we cannot do anything except offer some solutions until the site staff looks into the problem. If you are having problems on the forums, contact myself or Miranda_ and we will look into it as quickly as possible.
A report should include...
1. A detailed description of the problem. This includes the section being used, what exactly you were doing, the problem encountered, and the time it occurred. If this has happened before, tell us if it was the same problem and if it is occurring at the same time.
2. A screenshot if possible. I know not everyone thinks to take one when the problem occurs, but it is helpful to see what you are encountering and can make a solution easier to find.
3. If you are encountering a text error, be sure to post that as well. These contain information that will help the technical team solve the problem.
Before you post here, contact the helpdesk. While they are backed up, they still need to be alerted to the issue. If they do not respond or tell you to come here, you should always look first to see if anyone else is encountering the same problem as you. If they are, post in that thread and do not create your own. If there is no one else, create your own thread. Your post should give us the same information you gave to helpdesk so we can help you to the best of our ability.
