Well, I always thought Pep Rallies were boring things.

However, that was before last year, my freshman year. XD It was great, even though we didn't win the Spirit award.

This year, there was this minicontest to see which grade - Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior - could scream loudest to cheer on the kids who were representing them. We got second; Juniors got first.

I still sound like a squeaky chipmunk! XD I screamed my lung out, still kinda trying to stitch it back in. It was great, it really was. I wanna do that again. XD

Anyone else ever have fun with pep rallies?

I'll admit, in both my Freshmen and Sophomore years I hated the pep rallies. My class always came in last and it simply wasn't interesting. That was, until last year. I thought it was going to suck because we were stuck in the gym, but I had a blast screaming for our class in the competitions and insulting the seniors/underclassmen.

I expect loads of joy this year because its my senior, and final, year. I'm planning on doing most of the dress up days and giving a good show of senior class spirit. I can't wait for Homecoming Week

I only enjoyed pep rallies at my OLD school. Once I started in a different school it was a little boring, I had no "school spirit".

I know what contest you're talking about! That was loud omg. Class of '07 was always the loudest. We won most of the contests. (This was back when class of '07 was a sophmore.)

I Love my pep rallies especially cause I'm on the step team and get to perform
soooo its exciting .......... and we have all sorts of dance teams and competitions

and since Ima going to be an 08

(We have pep rallies for grade school. Its wierd cuz all my friends dont have pep rallies till high school o.O)

Pep rallies are ok, but they are extreamily loud. I cant scream

whatsoever, and when ever I scream as loud as I can (Wich is not loud) I get striped throat for like 2 weeks

. Like I said, ok BUT loud.

They sound kind of fun, but haven't been to one yet. I don't start high school until next year ^.^. Can't wait.

My school uses pep rallies as an excuse to leave early. They are pretty fun cause my class is the biggest and the most athletic. We only lose to seniors in competitions cause that's the way it is in my school, no matter how much they stink.

I graduate next year, and I never really get to enjoy Pep rallies. I perfom.

silvercyclone, the reason why seniors normally win is because pep rallies are usually accompanied by some type of money for the winners. Seniors have a lot more going for them. I mean, at my school they have to pay for all of the regular dances, as well as for their senior prom and graduation among other things. Its just the way it is.

I think my school has some kind of general funding for all the dances; they won't let the seniors this year pay for anything anyway, because they were last year's Juniors and without any warning at all, they spent the whole Junior's fund on a PIZZA PARTY. *facepalm*
