Lupa continued to observe as she walked, taking note of the Cats respective attitudes. She wasn't all too keen on that of their leader's, but she kept her comments and judgements to herself. All the same she tensed her muscles when Phelan kicked dirt up onto her. If any of the felines made a move then she was ready to jump to her fellow wolf's defense.

In about half an hour, when Cecy was starting to get sweaty and as he hair was starting to fall down, they reached the ruins.
Impossibly tall beams of some sort of metal reached up, up, up to claw at the sky, indicating the structure of what had once been some sort of metal tower. Some of the actual tower remained near the base, a marvel of metal and glass. Clearly, in its time, it had been a marvelous thing, sparkling fiercely in the starlight. It had stood straight, a literal block-shaped building. How had they managed something to simple, something that wasn't dramatically wider at the base? The Cetaceans had it all figured out, but structural engineering wasn't exactly Cecy's strong point. All she knew was that, within, there were exquisite portraits of a fifth race, a race that had come before the other four. The members of this race looked vaguely like the other four; two legs, two arms, forward-set eyes, and mostly furless. But their noses always matched the rest of their skin, and their ears were te same fleshy color, lower than the ears of the Cats and Wolves, but stuc out, unlike the Avians and Cetaceans. This race appeared to have no tails, either, another oddity. Some believed that four races of the different continents had sprung from this first, others argued that the fifth race had lived alongside the others, and had brought about their own destruction. Either way, the tall towers they'd occupied freaked Cecy out; they weren't natural. How could something so tall be nothing but glass, metal, and concrete, and last all those centuries? ![]() |

Cecilia put on a brave face and entered the center building, the talest of them all.
Inside, it was incredibly dusty, and, yet, the old lobby was remarkably intact. Oh, sure, the plants had long since died, and the cushions on the couches and lounges were a bit moth-eaten, but it was otherwise more than passable. It had charming black marble floors, towering columns -only a few had since toppled- some sort of empty fountain, and birds flitted to and fro. ![]() |

She dusted off a lounge, gathered up her skirts, and sat most elegantly. "Oh, you're hilarious," Cecy snarked in return. "My people have drawn up a possible treaty for you and yours to look over. We expected to have to debate the finer points in this, and that's why I've come prepared to stay for a while, if need be," she told him as she slipped out a scroll. It was even translated to the Wolfen runes.

Lupa sat down next to Phelan, curious to see what the Cats had proposed and surprised but relieved to find it had been translated so she could, in fact, read it.
"And what if the finer points aren't all that require debating?" She asked, looking up fairly quickly, wanting to know the answer to this question before she read on. ![]() |
