"I'll start the smoking process; the fire needs to be banked up first, tho," said Phelan.

Blinking a few times, Shiki once again looks down at his over sized shirt and back up at Harley. "Harley... Shiki wants to train. Shiki can train in this."


"Why? It's a beautiful out." Ivory spun around, smiling.

"Because there's a wild boar out here somewhere, and we are in no way equipped to deal with one," Taka said simply.

"No, you'll trip over it ans stuff, and your legs need to be freer for when you run," Harley said a -little- more seriously.

"I don't know how to do that," Cecy said, blushing.

[Miranda_]

"Watch me, and I'll show you how," Phelan said. "The rest of the meat can be roasted on the other fire once we've started the smoking of the main cuts."

[Shmiley]

"Really? We'll be fine..." He says as he bends down to pick a few more herbs. "If anything... the boars will be a little more westward..."


"Shiki doesn't have freer clothes... Shiki needs some. Does Harley know anyone who could let Shiki borrow their clothes?"

"Yeah, they might be, but I want to tell my brother anyways," Takaia said.

Cecy sighed, but nodded. "Okay."

"Uh... you're fairly small... lemme think..." Harley said.

Phelan started to show Cecy how to bank the fire up so that it gave out heat rather than flames. The meat was hung on ropes above it and would smoke slowly. The rest of the meat, the parts that wouldn't be able to be preserved, was put on a spit over the other fire to roast.

Shrugging his shoulders, Ivory dusts off his dress, "If you say so, let's head back to the others then."


Shiki rolled up the sleeves of the shirt and placed his hands on his hips, tail softly swaying and ears twitching.

"I still think you should talk to the panther," Taka said as she began to lead them back by scent.

Harley considered. "Little Lyall might have something your size," he mused aloud.

Cecy nervously went forward and copied what Phel showed her. "Am I... doing it right?" she asked.

"Yes, that's right," Phelan said.

"Now we can put the meat on. Once we've done that, we'll go to the other fire and put on the meat we're going to have for dinner."
