Victor began to turn over throwing stars and kunai, setting aside those which were blunted. As Ari had said, he was an expert with these weapons as well as with a bow and arrow. He didn't say anything about his own skills, however.

Lucy looked at everything, trying to find the weapons that were not fit for use.

Shiki nodded, "Yes, I have to return to claim my right to my title and then some."

Phelan stated that those who were hunting had to use their other forms and that they had to remain within the pack. He also said that the pack would split in two, with one half, led by Ari, circling around to close in on the prey from the other side.

Nedakh was letting Phelan lead this, his last hunt here for a while.

Phelan was to lead the main pack; he split the others fairly, with Cecy and Tina to hunt in the main pack, and Shiki and Felina in the secondary one alongside Ari.

Cecy respected Shiki's wishes to reclaim his heirloom, but wondered what that meant for him and Harley.

For that matter, what about herself and Phel?

Felina was worried about the planned trip, and decided that she would stick close to her Princess when they went. She would not let anything happen to Cecy.

Phelan gave the order for the hunters to take their animal shapes.

All present did, and all present waited for the Alpha in training to begin the hunt.

Phelan began by casting about til he picked up the scent of a herd of deer, and running towards the forest. The method of the Wolves as far as hunts were concerned was the opposite of the Cats' method of stalking prey. Wolves ran down prey animals by wearing them down, with a secondary group running to cut off a prey animal's retreat. As soon as Phelan took the lead, heading for the trees, Ari ran round the side with her secondary pack. Her cheetah form was made for running; despite orginally being used to short sprints, she had trained herself fully to the Wolf style of hunting.
