Ari was reading a book while she waited to talk to Lucius. She felt it was important to do so, so she could work out the best way to help Victor.

Lucy saw her and headed right over. "You're Ari, right?"

The cheetah nodded. "That's right," she said. "I wanted to talk to you about Victor. You see, it would help a lot if I knew his backstory so as to work out the best way to go about helping him, and the best way of handling him. It wouldn't really go very well if I somehow angered him without knowing, by talking to him or dealing with him in a certain way which enraged him."

"Ah. Story time," Lucy sait, sitting beside her. " Well, first, I have to tell you some more abou how Ave works, then I can tell you about Victor personally..." He began to describe, as best as he was able, both the state of Ave and Victor's personal story. He also tried to warn Ari of Victor's envy, and his need to feel useful and strong and- well- normal.

Ari listened intently. Once the story was finished, she said, "I understand, now. I'll train him to use a bow at once; normally, there'd be a bit more general exercise but I think that his power might be able to compensate for lack of strength for the moment. Once he realises that he can be useful, it'll hopefully go some way towards solving his issues."

"I agree whole-heartedly; tell him he has to build up his strength, and he'll get morose and stuff. But put him to work right away, give him no room for doubt, and I feel like he might actually smile for once... maybe..."

"Once he's learned the basics," Ari said, "I'll take him on a solo hunting trip. An archer can be useful in bringing down small game, so it won't matter that his bird shape is small."

"Thanks so much for telling me all this," Ari said, with a warm smile.

"Of course," Lucy said. "I mean, who else would tell you? Certainly not Victor himself."
