"Ulricha and I were in love for a while, but we agreed to part a few months ago," Ari continued.

"I wasn't able to explore that part of me back in Felidae. I happen to like women as well as men."

[spirit_queen]

"You- really?" gasped Cecy. "I didn't know that was possible!"

[Miranda_]

Ari snorted. "Of course it's possible," she said. "Of course, the king would prefer that Cats thought otherwise."

[spirit_queen]

"But how do you-?" Cecy was getting redder and redder. "Er, nevermind..."

[Miranda_]

"Of course, the king doesn't have laws against women having relationships with each other," added Ari.

"But only cuz he's not really interested, and thinks it's not possible. Of course, the laws against men being together only apply to Felidae. If it happens in say, Ave, it doesn't count. One thing I found out about the king's courtiers was that a lot of them have pet Birds that they keep in apartments and use as wh*res. I can't really blame the Birds; since most of the denizens of Ave live in poverty, if offered plenty of food and a roof over their head, there aren't many who'd turn it down."

"I- I know I- I've met some Birds," Cecy said quietly.

[Miranda_]

"Not just the prostitution that goes in in the country, tho. These Birds are kept as personal wh*res, hense the term 'pets'. I didn't find out if the king had one, but a lot of his court do."

[spirit_queen]

"Probably does," Cecy spat. "I hate some so much, I hate having his blood in my veins."

[Miranda_]

"As for that, you're not the only one..." Ari began to say, then stopped; she didn't want to upset Cecy further.
