"And that required breakfast," Lucy said, pushing the door to the tavern open and going inside.

Several people were already having breakfast at the table; Phelan being one of them. He was sitting with his father and half sister. Remy was there as well, with Aleta and her fox, Amos. The owner of the inn had put down a plate of meat for Amos and a bowl of water.

"I was thinking of travelling home in our other forms; it would go far faster that way. We'd have to buy simple packs for our clothes and what limited belongings your group brought with you, but I believe it would be worth it."

[Miranda_]

"It would be a lot quicker, that's for sure," Phelan replied. "Much quicker than trying to arrange a cart. The only difficulty would be Harley, and the Birds. I don't know whether they could fly or just perch; if they were to perch, then there would have to be something they could hang on to. As for Harley, perhaps Taka could put a temporary splint on his leg?"

"I already asked her to; she said, even with him limping with a split, we'd all go faster that way, and I agree. We have to wear our packs, and birds wanting rides can sit on those; their claws ought to be able to dig into rough canvas with ease," Nedakh replied.

[Miranda_]

"That should work. We'd also use less energy on four legs rather than two."

[spirit_queen]

"Exactly," Nedakh said. "Once everyone has finished eating, I plan on announcing it," he added.

[Miranda_]

"Good call," Phelan replied. He took a quick look around the room.

"Everyone's down now."

Victor got himself some breakfast and sat next to Tina.

Tina gave him a little smile. "I think we're leaving soon; those Alpha wolves have been chatting about it."

"Not quite, but almost," Nedakh said.

[Miranda_]

"Have they?" Victor said. He started eating breakfast; his plate was piled up with almost every breakfast food on offer.

"So I guess we will go after breakfast then."
