Phelan had gone to talk to his father about the group; he was telling him about the Birds, and also mentioning the very important news that he and Cecy were dating.

Nedalh had been stunned at the tale of the Birds, but when his son brought up that he and the young princess were dating, he merely chuckled. "I figured you were; when you were around each other, you both reeked of hormones."

His grin broadened as he teasingly added, "You never do settle for less, do you? You've had flings, but of course your first serious relationship would be with the sole heir to the Leontius family line."

A soft blush covered the boys cheeks and he nodded, watching her leave and turning back to Harley. He looked cute as a wolf and his excitement just made him downright adorable. The young Snow Leopard took the hint and sat next to him, reaching up and scratching behind his ears, smiling.

Harley groaned his pleasure in his wolf form and kicked his leg happily; it appeared lack of communication wasn't going to be an issue

Shiki grinned, his own tail lashing happily and he leaned over and gently kissed Harley's snout, hand continuing to scratch behind his ear.

"Well, it didn't start off that way," Phelan replied. "In fact, at the start, I hated Cecy cuz she seemed like a stuck up brat."

"Well, hate is certainly passionate; that passion just went somewhere else when you found out she wasn't what you thought she was," Nedakh said

Harley yawned and whined; he wanted to sleep now

"She didn't think too much of me, either. It was just while we had to work together in order to survive on Star Island, that we changed our views of each other," Phelan replied.

"I hope it works out, but son, be careful; I smell trouble on the horizon for you two; it's hardly a match their king would approve of, and scoff all you like, he has considerable power and this isn't a trifling matter," Nedakh said, his heterochromatic eyes shining with concern for his eldest.

The young boy slid off the bed, coaxing Harley to lie down, "Once you get comfy I'll curl up with you."
