"We're almost there, Harley. Hold on." Shiki wrapped an arm around Harley's waist, helping him along the way.

Jacqualine wrapped her own arm around the older man's waist, adding more support to help him.

Victor wasn't much better than Harley; he'd sat down on the ground the moment he was able to.

Tina literally pulled him up and dragged him to a bench in the tavern. "I'll get you something to eat and drink, alright? You need protein; if you get some meat in you after working hard like that it'll help build your muscles up."

Harley paused by a table. He balanced himself on his good leg, leaned the crutch against the table then sort of flopped onto the bench he'd found enar the entrance.

Victor looked disbelieving, but said nothing. He was too tired to argue about it, anyway.

Tina asked the waitress to bring something, and then sat next to him;she would wait until his food arrive and make sure he ate it, then check in with her cousin.

Remy sat down next to Jacqualine.

Phelan had gone with his father to make the arrangements.

Victor sat quietly, getting his breath back.

Finally, the little waitress appeared with a steak and some potatoes, and a large glass of water. "Was that all?" she asked.

"Yes, thank you," Tina said. She frowned; she didn't know what the wolves used for money She shrugged and dug around in a small bag and handed the woman a small pearl. The waitress gasped. "Split the money from that between yourself, the cook, and the owner," Tina said.

Victor just stared at the meal; before he'd come to the island, he hadn't even eaten meat.

Remy had had to carry Aleta part of the way, as well as her fox. He was feeling a bit exhausted too, as a result.

Lucy noticed. "I might have a little something to buy some ale," he offered.

"Eat it, it looks and smells like it's wonderful," Tina told Victor.

Shiki sat next to him on the floor, he patted Harley's good leg.

Jacqualine looked next to her, smiling at Remy and his daughter. "I could get you two something to eat and drink. I always carry money in my shoes." She took off her shoes, turning it upside down and out dropped a little satchel. She slipped her shoe back on and picked up the satchel.
