The boat docked at the harbour at Canis. It was made fast, and Phelan went below decks to fetch Cecy.

Cecy had fallen asleep down there; she looked sort of pretty, with her red-gold hair framing her face- too bad her mouth was hanging slightly open.

Ulricha was standing at the harbour, with Nedakh. Since the Avian boat had been spotted heading towards Canis, she and her fellow leader had waited for it to dock.

Nedakh stood tall and proud. His sword was sheathed, but loose in case he needed to draw it quickly; however, this boat was a little small, and appeared to be a trading vessel; she wouldn't hold too many people.

He braced himself when a figure jumped onto the docks and charged toward them, then just barely stopped drawing his sword in time to not impale his own daughter as she rushed him and jumped into him.

"OOMPH!" he said as he staggered but caught here.

"Daddyy, we're hooo~ooome!" she sang.

"Ah, I can see that, sweetheart," he said a little awkwardly; something about his over-eager daughter always made him like that; he loved her to bits, but he wasn't always sure what to say. Did her bother reprimanding her for acting like a child, or would that be too harsh? He just didn't know, especially since all previous attempts to get her to behave more or less normally failed miserably.

Ulricha also had her sword ready; she knew that the Cats used Avian trading vessels so was on her guard. She relaxed it when Taka appeared; Taka was not her daughter, but she was very fond of her.

Phelan walked off the boat towards his father more sedately. He was with Cecy.

Cecy took in the landscape with wide eyes. Nedakh saw the lioness and did a double-take; his son had brought the princess back with them?

Then, a hum was heard above, and Nedakh looked up to see- what in the name of the gods was that yellow thing? He shielded his eyes and squinted, trying to make it out when it began to descend.

Tina brought her plane down, but it was a little harsh; this time, at least the pane was undamaged, but Tina was still thrown from it.

Victor had changed to his bird form when he'd realised that the landing wasn't going to be a good one; he hovered just above the ground, before taking his biped shape. He still felt a little dazed, tho.

Phelan waited til everyone was off the ship, then turned to his father.

"There is a lot we have to discuss," he said. "Not only the treaty, but also the Feline corruption in Ave. And also, I need to speak to Ari about a new Beta Apprentice; Harley's leg is permanently damaged so he won't be able to continue in that role. How is Ari, by the way? Cecy, that's the Cat princess, would like to speak to her."

Nedakh was a little overwhelmed by the turn of events, but he hid it well; strange contraptions and changed had to be dealt with, not gawked at. "She's back at Frei," he replied. "She was helping to prepare everyone in case the ship we'd heard of was in fact another warship and the treaty had gone sour."

"How far is Frei from here?" Cec asked.

"Half a day's journey, Miss. But night is falling, so we shall find accommodations near here, in the town of Möwe," Nedakh replied.

Tina muttered darkly, stood, and brushed herself off. Obviously, she'd have to work on landing that plane. Currently, the leftover momentum wasn't being spent, and the sudden stop of the vehicle was what was seinding her flying, she knew.

"We can make introductions there, in that case," Phelan replied. "All our supplies are finished; we need to rest and eat before we do anything else."

"Then, please, welcome everyone ashore and we'll head into town to see who can possibly hold all of us," Nedakh said.

Cecy wondered when Phelan was going to tell his father they were -ah- courting, involved, whatever. Seeing te tall, proud man, she could easily see where Phelan got his good looks from; Nedakh had he same, strong cheekbones and firm chin.
