[Miranda_]

Victor looked bewildered. He didn't really get the Cat belief of men being stronger than women; in fact, he hardly knew anything of it at all.

"I don't understand," he said.

Tina blinked blankly at him for a moment, then said, "Will you please just help me?"

[Miranda_]

"I wouldn't be able to help you. I don't know anything about building or fixing things."

[spirit_queen]

"Which is why I'll tell you what to do," Tina persisted. "It's as simple as me giving you a tool, showing you how to use it, and having you follow my instructions. You'll just more easily be able to reach the higher places then me."

[Miranda_]

"Not very easily," Victor protested. "I'm not that much taller than you are."

[spirit_queen]

"Please?" she asked, her silver eyes shining. "Everyone else is extremely busy. I have two hours, and if I don't meet the deadline, I have to leave it behind!" She looked unbearably adorable, like a kitten begging at mealtime, her eyes big, round, and sparkling.

[Miranda_]

Victor's response was to back away from Tina. He had little to no experience with women, and just didn't understand the way Tina was acting towards him. He would have used his bird form to escape, but he hardly ever used it and in any case, he didn't have anywhere to escape to.

Tina was utterly baffled by his reaction, and it showed on her face. "Alright then, on my own," she muttered.

[Miranda_]

Victor sat down with his back against a tree. He wished that someone could explain to him just what the hell had just happened.

Tina saw the utterly dejected and confused look on his face, sighed, and made to sit next to him. "I'm sorry, I guess I overwhelmed you, didn't I?"
