No Light, No Light (Private)

[Miranda_]

"He looks after me as best as he can," Ty said. "Not that there's anything he can do about all my problems."

[Sarah_K_O_M]

"Yeah, I know how it is. My sister and I look out for each other, but we're both a little too fcked up to deal."

She shrugged. "Sorry. I shouldn't whine about my issues. Now, do you want to get the hell out of here or not?"

[Miranda_]

"If you can get us both out of here, then fine. I don't believe it's possible but you're welcome to try."

[Sarah_K_O_M]

Gabrielle walked over to the door. She tested the the handle, predictably found it locked, then kicked it open. The door slammed into the demon that had been standing watch outside, stunning him. She grabbed it while it was stunned and pulled it into the room.

Then she began to lay into it, crushing the body's bones and organs to distract it with pain. Then, as it twitched, the exposed barbed wire growing over and augmenting the battered form, she knelt down over it and tore away its head with her bare hands and tossing it into the far end of the room, followed by it's limbs.

Gabrielle stood up, covered in ichor.

"How do you like our chances now?"

[Miranda_]

Ty had turned away from the dismembering of the demon. "We're still not out of their base," he said.

"I'll give you an answer once we're out of here and I can go back to my place. I have to be back by tonight."

[Sarah_K_O_M]

"I'm not letting you walk back by yourself, just so you know." Gabrielle said. She licked a bit of the blood from her hand and grimaced. "Oh, that tastes terrible."

She shook the excess off then went back to the door and looked out. It was just a long, empty corridor, with no doors apart from the one leading to the room they were in, which was at the very end. She motioned for him to follow her and started heading out.

[Miranda_]

Ty said nothing, and followed Gabrielle down the corridor. He didn't really want her coming with him to his apartment, in case Janeseh was waiting there for him.

[Sarah_K_O_M]

Gabrielle was sticking close to the left wall, her shoulders tensed and her arms half up, ready to grapple or punch.

"How are your fighting skills, by the way?" she whispered over her shoulder. "Do you have any, or it it just instinct? And when did you last feed, roughly? I can go back and get that pack of blood they took from me if you need it."

[Miranda_]

"I can fight, I just don't feel like doing it most of the time," Ty replied. "And I haven't fed for ages; at least a day and a half. I was going to when I left the bar, but they got me instead."

[Sarah_K_O_M]

"Alright, then wait here. Stay close to the wall, and stay alert. If you don't want to fight, then be ready to shout."

She went back to the room, moving a lot quicker then when leaving it. A minute or two later, she came back, the blood pack in her hand, wiped clean as much as possible. She tossed it to him.
